For those worried about their voices, most of these DI's use what they call USMC frog voice. It really is a practiced form of yelling that minimizes stress on the vocal chords but still enables loud yelling. I cannot vouch that the African American DI is using this technique, but most do and it happens to give the unique order sounds of the USMC DI's. It is a process of projecting from the diaphragm vs the throat.
@xgilmore8 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that it's SGT Haney, because that's definitely Lima Company. And he doesn't need the frog voice. He'll tear his vocal cords until they break and then he'll pull out a sewing kit and fix them again. And he'll make you push the whole time.

Some of the best memories were from Boot. Every Marine shares this experience. Tours, Bases, Operations but when we're sitting around drinking a beer and chatting, good old bootcamp stories always seem to be the common denominator. The shit those DI's did and I swear to you, sometimes it was hard to keep from laughing. As "Comm Devil" mentioned about the later parts of boot, you get to a point where you can take anything and the DI's sense this. That is a sign of a job well done. I stand for the whole pledge, but I'm disgusted that others around me sit down half way through. Some don't stand at all, and it is absurd to me that people who live in our great nation don't really care about those who give them the freedom they have. These kind of videos make you appreciate how much these brave men go through just to be on the front lines to defend us. I really wish people would stop taking their freedom for granted, and know how much our military sacrifices for them. From boot camp, to Afghanistan, to Iraq and every other terrorist country in this world. While we're at home in our cozy bed's, these men are fighting people who do unimaginable violence to keep them out of our country. I can't even imagine the hurt their families feel when they don't come home. All I ask is show respect for these men and women, because they deserve at least that.

The fact that the Staff Sergeant's hat was tilted as he was yelling at the recruit was hilarious.

Always do what you're told by a drill sergeant in the army or recruit division commander in the navy they are no nonsense attitude and no questions asked falling in the line of duty. Most importantly keep your mouth shut when you're told. Always respect the drill instructors with dignity and respect but don't expect any in return period and know that listening is your best friend.
