The #Marines of 1st Squad, 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3d Littoral Combat Team, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division are the winners of the 2024 Marine Corps Annual Rifle Squad Competition.
Through a series of complex and realistic scenarios over the course of a non-stop 72-hour event, expert evaluators ultimately determined that the Marines representing 3d LCT are the most lethal and ready rifle squad in the Marine Corps.
3rd Marine Littoral Regiment was activated on 3 March 2022 on Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The 3rd MLR was redesignated from 3rd Marine Regiment and inherits the lineage of that storied regiment. The Marine Littoral Regiment, as part of the Stand-in-Force, disrupts the adversary in a contested littoral environment through reconnaissance, counter-reconnaissance, and sea denial operations in order to support the maritime campaign.
