This is correct. Small, fast , cheap. Low crew numbers. It has a gun, a 8 cell VLS. If they added something like a Seaceptor MBDA 24 or 32 cell for anti - drone Deff, then they would be right on Target.

thanks for downgrading Seaceptor to anti-drone system, by the way english one is a better system, but ranges are 15 nm against 10 nm for russian one, so both are point defense anti-air system as american RAM or on the high-end side french/italian Aster 15 (instead Aster 30 is an area defense system both used in PAAMS)

@@robertopiedimonte2078 not downgrading, pointing out the potential. Seaceptors are a more economical means of addressesing Drones that Asters. If they worked ion designing a lightweight affordable missle, similar to the Israeli Iron Done interceptors, they could be downing Drones for 100 k per.

@@sammydsouza4379 if working and maintened properly I think russian system is good. We use missiles against drones cause we must, being not ready to defend from them, but Israel shoot down drones at sea just with an airburst 30mm Typhoon gun and italian do it in Red Sea with a 76mm gun normal rounds without using expensive Dart anti-missile ammunition, which any way are cheaper then a missile. Drone must be fought not by expensive missiles but in a cheaper way. In a war mass produced drones could deplete all missiles in short time. Waiting for lasers upgrading optronic, gun and munition as done by Rafael on Typhoon Mk4 gun, is reasonable considering there are usually two 25mm guns of Typhoon family to upgrade on almost all warship in the US Navy. Eventually adding to this guns few laser guided rockets for a layered drone defense and more challenging engagements could be another... Even on US Coast Guard Sentinel cutter there's a 25mm Typhoon gun now. Problem is how to defend merchant ships from drones on one side and cruise/hypersonic/ballistic missiles on the other in convoys escorted by 7/8 Destroyers (eventually integrated by Frigates in 4 DD + 4 FF). Do we have to forget transiting Red Sea, Panama Streit or Malacca Streit as well all indonesian passages? What about Mediterranean, if Morocco or Algeria decide to close Gibraltar? Do we have enough Destroyers and Frigates to do it? Do we have the organization to manage it? Drones and few anti-ship missiles, are we so weak? Maybe pushing up a little the power of AEGIS radars is enough to fry all elettronic in drones 🤣. Best defense is attack! We have such wonderful lifes, we'll never do it !!! Hoping we'll never find it out 😇 and you have no headache thinking on all these connected problems 🤕. Have a good day

KaraKurt is not Russian and not translated to English as Black Widow. It is Turkish and translates as Black Wolf. I don’t think Russians give a Turkish name to their Corvettes. Plesa do check again. Black Widow in Russian is Chernaya Vdova

This is what Littoral Combat Ship have to look likes, a ship five times smaller and cheaper. Soviet Union operate this kind of ships for long time defending National Borders under the costal cover of aviation, so Russia have a little bit of experience... obviously (the tru warship) a Destroyer is always better if you have money to build a "only Destroyers" fleet along flat top and support ships 😁
