That second set was a championship set indeed! Props to Novak for staying clutch and not falling through in clutch moments, that was the key for the victory. Great journey for Meddy as well as he didn’t only win Alcaraz which was incredible, but also Rublev, De Minaur, who apparently happened to be his kryptonite as of recently, and even Baez who was on a 12 match win streak. He fought through brutal conditions like no one else and not anyone pointed that out how all of that could’ve affected the Daniil’s physique and his mental state. He could’ve also made some history by beating Carlos and Novak at the same tournament and especially on a grand slam. Insane path and he should be proud of himself and learn the corresponding lessons. It will help him boost his confidence too as he’s realized he can beat anyone on tour, no doubt. He will be better next time for sure!

That 2nd set told you everything you needed to know about Djokovic. He had every right to lose it but dug deep and clung on somehow. Got to give credit to him tactically too though. Masterful display both players played well would have been glad for either to win for they represent our collective protest to the West by tennis of the highest calibre. Victory for our Slavic brotherhood. Rock on Novak you GOAT lol 😆

Still sad that we missed a chance to see another Djokovic vs Alcaraz match, but still amazing form from Djokovic to win number 24, he just keeps going!
