How we doing mailman Nick?? Peak season has been killing me as a CCA. I worked 70 hours this week!! it’s a stressful time, buddy!! I’ve got a girlfriend and my goal for 2025 is to get married to her. It’s just tough to have any time to myself as a CCA. I’m trying to get my real estate license and move out from the Post Office. My office work environment is very toxic and it’s getting old. I’m looking for something new! But I’m not giving up man!

@ I’ve been taking it one relay at a time like you said. It’s a rewarding job. It’s just a lot of stress! My boss at my office allows us carriers to have one earbud in as long as it’s wireless. It’s a great time to listen to the radio or podcasts while serving the community. 😁 the only reason I stay is because I am tough and I have no backup plan. 😂

Dang, I’m new, like 2 weeks new, I’m an RCA. I’ve been running an entire route solo getting help sometimes with parcels at the end of the day. It’s so brutal for me. It’s an 8.5 hour route with CBUs, curbside, businesses, daily pickup, blue box pickups, everything. I wish I could run parcels, when I do run PDAT it helps me learn the route instead of being out in the cold rain struggling with DPS, FLATS,SPURS and PARCELS. It’s rough to say the least.

Working at the plant last year was tough it really was. I got Mando'd OT everyday and I hate OT, but I just worked through it. One thing that helped me was I used to listen to X-mas music on the way to work to relax my brain. I was the lead senior person in my section so I had to assist the supervisors to make sure the mail was getting out on time. A lot of call outs made it even harder to complete the work. Everyone was not working as a team and that made it frustrating as hell. we'd have stand ups and I would say if you guys don't work as a team this is gonna be a long peak. I had to stress help each other out. Don't walk by seeing your teammate struggling and not offer to help them out.

Thank you for all you do My Brother. I know this job is not easy. I just got hired and like I mentioned in previous post I was making six figures before this just fine and I’m still going to keep that same job with no issues. I’m only going to work on the days Where these people don’t wanna come in and I don’t mind doing this extra work because number one I’m going to be labeled as a federal employee the money that we get is tax differently there’s all kinds of great benefits. I get to tell people I’m in the post office as a mail carrierand honestly man I want to pay my house off by the time I’m 45 so I can retire and enjoy the rest of my life. I don’t have to go to Applebee’s and be rushed out at 11 no more.😅

Do you have any info about Trump's plan to privatize USPS , new DOGE department of Musk look for ways to cut costs of USPS , personally I don't think carriers can be privatizes but my branch Motor vehicle driver ( Truck drivers ) can be easily privatized

That’s the thing across the board every office varies whereas some people are being over worked some are being under worked. RCAs in our office can’t even run parcels for regulars because regulars still get credit to the route. Very rarely is there a middle sweet spot it seems like it’s either kiss your family goodbye or get a second job but make sure when we need to use you that your available 😂
