@nickventi greetings from Michigan's upper peninsula. Im a cca who just had their 1st break in service 3 weeks ago. I'm a walker and usually get put on the longest walking routes. Management has had new hires shadow me when the certified trainer hasnt been available. Yesterday, 1/21/25, I had 1900 in dps and it was -15 degrees when I was loading my truck. By 1pm, it was hovering almost at 0 then gradually dropped back down. I was on the clock until 8pm, 10 hours of walking around in that, enduring. This morning, our district manager said everyone had to be off the clock by 6pm and it was in the teens today, it was fine. If they can do that, why wouldn't they yesterday when it was far more dangerous? I only had 1 tray of dps today, instead of the 5 yesterday. Was that the post office way of giving some small mercy to us cca's? Has your district manager done such stuff before?

Management has no idea what they are doing. Definitely nationwide 😂. There's certain things like you described that would love to talk about but I'd get in big trouble

They might try, like if you weren't wearing postal approved shoes or something. Get in touch with your union if they don't and get documentation

Question nick, I just been informed that am converting to ptf without having to take my 5 day break due to the fact that I am converting before my 2 year mark . You mention you had a ptf who can bid on a route because they’re on restrictions. In my office am 3rd on the list however the 2 ptf on top of me are both on restrictions and one of them isn’t even coming to work . Do I jump over them when a route is open since they’re unable to carry a route ?
@MailmanNick4 күн бұрын
As far as when you make regular yes they will get the route first. PTF if they bid on the same route they have seniority over you. If they are on restrictions they probably do only mounted parts of routes
