Indeed. This Ship engaged in a search and destroy mission against Nazi submarine off the coast of US in the Atlantic, effectively destroying and sinking the enemy. Pretty impressive record of service.

Nice video but she will always be the USCGC (US Coast Guard Cutter) Duane to me. Served on her from 1966 until 1970. Did many Ocean Stations and a tour in Vietnam on the Duane.
