@@est9949 i mean tbh most countries don't give the women's teams nearly as much support as the USA does, therefore there is little to no competition. For example the women's team beating a South American team that has little to no support 6-0 is not entertaining at all

It's corporate greed has ruined the beautiful game, because the fact that you can't place a Bud light or a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial every two minutes has held back soccer in the United States for so long. It the youth sport which has the largest participation. The world's most popular sport yet here in America it is not embrace because the format doesn't work for the big broadcasters.

+Niraj Saini You're exactly right. Her playing days may be done, but that doesn't change who she is and what she gave us. And while she's retiring as a player I doubt this is the last we see of her. At the very least, we see her influence in the rest of the team.

Even if I'm canadian, Abby was one of my idol. Always loved the way she was playing and her attitude. I play hockey (no I don't play soccer) and I choose the same jersey number than Abby. I got the chance to see her at the world cup when she came in Ottawa. She didn't play a lot but just having the chance to see her live was one of the greatest moment. I put my two ticket stubs in a frame and hung it in my home gym beside my Abby wambach poster. Abby you are the best :-)

I haven't touched a soccer ball in over 10 years. I'm an equestrian, not a footballer. I'm even new to the whole world of the USA women's football team. But still, in that short time I knew her, Abby managed to inspire me more than anyone else. She made me realize there's no end in sight. There's no limit to how far I could take my riding. She made me realize my goal of wanting to be one of the top ranked riders in the world, in dressage. She made me realize that I can't do that by just sitting here, hoping it'll someday happen. I need to get up, and work harder than anyone else, when I'm both on and off my horse. For riders, training never ends. I'm up at 4 every morning to go train with my horse, before going to school. And when the day's over, I go back to the stables to see him again. Abby made me realize, that I can be whatever I work to be. One day, it'll be me winning that gold medal at the Olympics. One day it'll be me who is in the FEI World Equestrian Games. And they'll ask me who inspired me to go as far as I did. I won't say any rider's name, I'll say.... Abby Wambach. Thank you for helping me realize everything I can become💕

I'm kind of sad cuz I wasn't able to see her career and her last few minutes, I wasn't able to watch her last game and the first full world cup tournament, first WWC i watched was 2015 I was happy to see her in the lineup and play and participate and she did great and she was a great leader and still is on and off the field. 2015 was the only tournament I was able to see her compete in and a little bit of 2011, but something in 2019 with this world cup you kind of listen to what Abby said in that discussion Huddle, she says "the first 10 minutes we score a goal" because of that, the USA women's team has scored a goal in the first 10 minutes every single match. I think this team is remembering and thinking about Abby. Amazing video.
