In the science of hadith, whatever is done by many of the religious lecturers basically make them unreliable in the narration of hadith. And they would be completely rejected as a source. Further, there are even greater issues for the masses, because all the people listening would pass this ‘interpretation’ off as part of the narration and it would lead to many issues. The reality is that, it is the ‘scholars’ of today that are responsible for much of the erroneous understandings of religion for the masses and they are the first to blame for the situation of the Ummah. It doesn’t matter what clothes you wear or adopt, if you are mixing your own interpretations with the truth, muddying up its clarity, then you are teetering on a very scary cliff with a far fall. This is much of what the Bani Israel were condemned for in the Quran. And now their followers in turn have set up channels to completely attack the opposition, instead of simply trying to get to the truth. The reality is the Arabs were a tribal society, united under one completely unified banner with the coming of Islam via the Prophet (S), with the force of law of shareeah, not tribal customs. The warnings of the Prophet (S) were not against “the believers run their affairs through mutual consultation” and democracy; but the return of asabiyya and bloodshed. It was not meant to endorse kinship and dictatorial rule and tyranny and so on. The principle of classical scholarship was that a moment of tyrannical rule is better than a thousand years of anarchy was founded on the principle to protect lives, honor and properties of the masses, not to boot-lick tyrants. Many classical scholars also used to run away from the circles of the rulers, because they were afraid to compromise the truth and integrity. But the people are muddying the very moral and ethical basis of the religion for a strange and unnatural view of religion that has no sense of justice and fair play. That Khawarij was arguing that he had a better sense of justice than the Prophet (S), that Prophet (S) who was doing things on such a miraculous level the Arabs nor the world have ever witnessed before in regards to a moral-ethical-just faith and social revolution. That was ‘the sense of justice’ this nobody other than a tribal leader, probably by birth, was coming for, lusting for some booty that he had no business or right asking for, and that too from the Prophet (S) himself. In fact, his behavior was more an attesting to his arrogance than anything else, an arrogance masquerading under religious pretenses. This situation in the hadith has nothing to do with endorsing what we hearing in this video or in regards to having issues with a ‘worldly leader’ living the life of luxury and questionable behavior. It’s sad because this brothers recitation is so beautiful. May Allah forgive us all for our excesses and mistakes.

The more intelligent Najdiyya Salafis like Abdul Rahman Hassan are unable or unwilling to break away from this cult either for monetary reasons or because they they have heavily invested their lives , their families and followers in this cult and therfore don't have the courage to confront and break away from it. It is obvious that the Wahhabi Najdiyya Salafi sect oposses critical thinking, encourages excessive loyalty and adoration of a small clique of (mostly Nejdi or Hanbali ) scholars, isolates, penalises and ridicules any member who tries to reconcile with mainstream Islamic scholarship, emphasise special beliefs( I'm being kind here) based on a few non mainstream Muslim scholars ( ibn Taymiyya, and Muhammad Abdul Wahhab), denounce the giants of Islamic scholarship that dont agree with their views (al Ghazali and numerous other)and emphasise their special and separate status (firqatun naajiyah) from the rest of the Muslims, and make takfeer and tabd'i on these same Muslims who happen to be the majority of the Believers, zealously propagate their beliefs and try to win as many converts as possible, induces guilt and the treat of eternal damnation on members for not adhering to the numerous rules and regulations pertaining to how one should feel, act, think, talk, marry, dress, raise children etc the list is endless, and encourages members to only socialise or live with their fellow sect members while at the same time cutting ties with family members and friends who are not "saved". All these are classical signs of a cult, which the Wahhabi Najdiyya Salafi exhibit. It takes a lot of courage, even for the more intelligent ones to break away from this. It took Yasir Qadhi a long time to break away from this, despite his intelligence. I don't see Abdurahman Hassan breaking away anytime soon, despite his intelligence due to his faulty scholarship which is based on the Medina University's uncritical rote learning of texts that support the Najdiyya Salafi, and the uncritical regurgitation of the same. Medina Univeristies graduates (another name for Najdiyya Salafis) learn by memorising rather than critical thinking and reasoning. People from this school have convergent thinking, their minds are trained to solve problems with a single answer(there is always a quick fix solution to a problem), they are discouraged from divergent thinking, dont make connections between what they memorise,never learn to question and explore, lack the freedom to think for themselves and ultimately do not attempt to gain a deeper understanding of the subject. This makes it hard to debate the Najdiyya Salafis , once this mind set has solidified. You will see in their debates with others that their version of clarity is yes or no questions. Are you ash'ari, yes or no, if yes then you are a mubtadi', end of story, end of debate. Are you sufi, yes or no, if yes then you are are a grave worshipper and a mushrik, end of story end of debate and so on ad nauseam. Sounds like a computer program doesn't it. Good luck, therfore good brother, in your debates with Salafis. If salafism doesn't drive you crazy, debating with Salafis might. The only positive thing is that the Najdiyya Salafi are now being challenged for their deviency with reason and facts, and they cannot escape this deconstruction.

Imagine using a hadith, when Dhul Khwaisra challenged the best of creation, al mustafa (the chosen one), the one who receives revelation from and is sent by God, to defend the modern rulers. You can't even use examples of the best of creation (peace be upon him for the Sahaba (may Allah taala be pleased with them) and you've got somebody using it for a king.
