Finally! Here's an apartment that I love. That ceiling fan is wonderful. The view to the garden is lovely. The loft is spacious and usable. The space at the end of the loft is great for extra clothing storage, and it's nice that there is a place to hang a curtain in front of it. The stairs are good because there is a railing for safety, and the storage underneath is excellent. I'm not greatly fond of the basin in the living area but it's tolerable. And the lack of Toilet Paper Storage is easily overcome: use the top half of the Shoe Cupboard for TPS! This is an incredible apartment, and the price is reasonable given the location and the amenities. Definitely a place worth living in.

@@veramasoero8214 I think this is a place to shave and put makeup on. Where else would you do these activities? I would never want to do that in a kitchen sink. @Kammy44Ай бұрын
I'm with you. The tatami mats in the loft are a good base for a futon or a memory foam mattress. That shoe cupboard would work for a pantry and laundry supplies as well. I would just use the bottom for shoes. I love the light in this apartment.
@bethenecampbell6463Ай бұрын
@@Kammy44I think that's why the vanity/basin is in the living room, but it's not an efficient use of space. You can get shower mirrors that don't fog up for men to shave in the shower. A lot of them choose to do that anyway. And a built in desk would be more useful in the living room. It would be great for putting on make up with a portable make up mirror with lights, and useful for anyone as just a desk. Overall I think this is a good apartment. Just this one element is a little off, but definitely can be worked with.

How nice to have a little terrace to sit and enjoy a book and a cup of tea. It’s all thoughtfully laid out. The stairs/window seat/storage is ingenious - and even has a handrail. It is well-appointed with fixtures and fittings, and has more storage than most micro apartments. You don’t have to sleep in the narrow part of the loft, you can put a futon at an angle. Plenty of loft storage for suitcase or hobby equipment (hidden by curtain? Less clutter.) The extra washbasin beside the stairs … it seems a waste of space to have 3 sinks in such a tiny space, but maybe local regulations require it. And the washbasin does have storage for toilet paper and cleaning supplies. You just have to remember to keep one extra roll in the toilet room!😄 One can have a life, living here!

Regarding the sink in the living area, I did not see one in the shower room or toilet room. If there is not one, then its likely it is, so you dont have to brush your teeth, comb hair, wash up etc. in the same place you cook. Might also be required by regulations.

First floor use corner desk with side desk with file cabinet. I think everyone has a ton of ideas for this place.
@crazylittleangelАй бұрын
This is lovely! Instead of a chair & low table, i would put a comfy bench or chaise lounge, and I would invest in a really good folding laptray for my laptop or whatever. The empty storage space on the stairs could be home to a little stereo, or my books. In the loft, it looked like there was a hanging rail & a curtain rail at the back - i would get some hanging storage and a thin curtain to section it off. For the rest of the loft, i would use a futon mattress for sleeping, and then have my TV (or a projector) with loads of cushions & blankets. I would use the sink in the living area for my toiletries, toothbrush etc, as you are not going to be using the one above the toilet to brush your teeth 😂 I think it's a very well laid out apartment, and the high ceilings and windows give a light and airy vibe. And i don't know how competitive the rent is for Japan, but in the UK, that would be an absolute steal! I pay double that rent for my tiny apartment, and i don't live in a major city!
@Gazmeizster_WongatronАй бұрын
This might just be my favourite apartment yet on this channel. The washbasin seems oddly placed - I would personally forgo that and just double up the kitchen sink so that the extra space could be used for a small desk - but it's not a deal-breaker and overall I love the layout of this space. Those stairs with the open storage underneath is a great idea. The large nook looks like an ideal place for a decent sized TV. I like that they provided a curtain rack upstairs in case you want to use that section for extra clothes storage. Plus you also have a bit of private outdoor space with that little terrace and the price of the rent is very reasonable too! This one's a winner for me! 👍🏻

It's an odd place. The sink under the stairs, and the whole stair/terrace/closet cluster in one spot. But it does feel kinda homey. The stone wall and wood floor give the terrace a kind if forest-y vibe. It feels peaceful, like sitting with a cup of coffee in the morning. The loft is low, but if you used a futon it could still be a cozy place to sleep. I would rate it a 7/10.

I didn't know I needed this. You went through EVERYTHING, and that's what made me subscribe. I almost believe I could live there, well I could if I had to get everything so it would line up. The washing machine could be a front load so you could make the top into counter space as I cook (I need counter space) also a mini fridge would work if there were a store nearby to buy so I don't need to stock up. The shoe storage on top could be a panty the underneath could be for shoes as I gave up most of mine so almost 2 shelves would more than be enough. In the living room I could use a sofa that pulls out into a bed, if need be, a folding table when I needed one. The doorway between the kitchen and the living room could have been removed for it to be less claustrophobic and use just a post or something. The loft is usable, if it were just me. The narrow part could have been the sleeping area, and the wider area could have been storage or an office depending on what was needed. You video gave me great ideas I haven't had in a while. I enjoy creating apartment ideas as I have a property which is 10,000sq I was planning to do some slightly big single bedroom but the cost to rent would be high for a young adult, so I have been thinking of changing it to keep the cost down to be easily affordable.

I can totally see myself living in this tiny apartment. I like that it doesn't have a bathtub, which many other tiny apartments in japan squeeze into their limited space and make them more cramped. The only thing I want to change is to replace the kitchen door with a sliding glass one. There wouldn't be any privacy problem in such a small space and a glass one can prevent the smell getting into living area from kitchen and let the light flow back in.

This is very comfortable for one person, especially the size of the loft. The ceiling fan and the window would help with the temperature in the loft area and there's enough room for a desk downstairs that can double as a work/dining/lounge surface with an ergonomic chair and a multipurpose stool/side table. The stair storage almost (almost!) makes up for no bathroom storage, but there are renter-friendly options for that! Couple that with the price and accessible location and it's a solid 8.5/10. I had to dock it 1.5 for it not being higher up (safety reasons) and the interesting living room sink placement.

That 1 meter loft space would be a storage room for winter clothes and blankets with a bare minimum foldable stairs. Unnecassary sink area would be replaced by desk/study room. So much potential but huge stairs in front of the window killed the whole house. There are also curtains needed, it is very big window for a 3 square meter living room.

Air-conditioning AND ceiling fan and patio doors you can see through and a little terrace! Win, win, win! Lovely glass in door separating kitchen. Two burners and a very good exhaust fan. So much storage, so much. I’d do futon in the loft. Those stairs and that railing are so solid looking. I’d do a sitting desk in that loft space too, low desk. A window up there! And the outside looks so nice and nit high up and what a fabulous price. This one is a solid 9/10 for me. Those patio doors make it feel spacious and light. I saw this apartment on Itsudemofudosan the day before. I wasn't for sure at first, so I went back and forth comparing. When I first saw the apartment, the loft seemed bigger. One of the benefits of how you show the apartment, I got a better idea of the size. At first I thought it was bigger and could fit a bed, perhaps a dresser or desk. But now I can see it is small, looks like tatami and probably meant to have a futon. Overall, I liked the apartment. Though I'm not sure if I need a second sink in such a small place. If there was an option, I'd trade a bathtub for the sink. I do like that there is a closet and an area outside even though it is small. There's enough room for a chair. I would give it a 7. If I could stand up in the loft I would have given it an 8.

This one is near perfect. Usable loft. Would use the far end for storage and hide it behind a curtain. Futon for sleeping. Stairs with the rail point toward the room. Not stumbling during midnight bathroom runs. Storage under stairs! Like the stair nears the windows-plenty of light and airflow. The closet looks weird, but highly functional. Nice patio! Toilet paper storage under the vanity sink ;). Washer location allows for top to be used for extra appliance (coffee and rice cooker). My only wish would be for the tiny tube and shower combo over a simple shower. But I could find an Onsen to soak. Ceiling fan is great. More lofts style need these to help the heat and cooling to rise. 9 out of 10.

Oh Look, there is the stand/drain for the washing machine. A must have in case of any leaks. The wash basin in the living area is not ideal. They could of put it in the wet area and still have some storage underneath it. This is the first micro apartment that I've seen with a ceiling fan. That will help circulate the cool air around during those really hot summers. A nice soft cushion bed would fit right up there to the left side and still have room for out of season clothes to be stored up there. The rent isn't bad at all considering the area. I love it all!!! In general, the apartment is great - the main thing is that you can sit outside - you can make a small cozy garden there and you can eat outside. In the living room you can put a desk and a good chair in which you can work, relax and watch a movie. In general, the apartment is great and the price is reasonable.

This is a great little apartment. Very unique with the stairs and terrace. And the ceiling fan is a boost for the loft space. I'd take that top door off of the shoe closet and rearrange the shelves to make a nice little entry landing for keys, mail and such. Put a mirror in and some little fairy lights. A front loading, flat topped washing machine for extra counter space and a fridge that's short enough to add easily reachable space on top. I would get a "trunk bunk" bed platform that expands from 24 inches to 42 inches and come between five and six feet long. One of those lengths would surely fit into the space across from the stairs. That leaves the entire loft for plenty of storage. The terrace is lovely and large enough for a few plants and a bird feeder. No real need for a chair as you could easily sit on one of the steps. Thanks for finding this one for us.

Good morning from cool autumnal northern Germany. I think your video and the apartment are beautiful. The apartment is also very practical. The two-part shoe cupboard can be used for shoes downstairs and for household and daily necessities upstairs (including toilet paper). The kitchen, bathroom and shower room are small, but adequate. The sink in the living room is a curiosity, but OK. The storage options under the stairs are very practical for storage boxes like the ones you use. Your idea of furnishing is very good, but I think that a bed with a low bed frame would fit in the loft space. It is unwise to use the steps with socks because of the risk of slipping; slippers are much better. The rent is pleasantly low despite the good location in Nakano-ku. 😊

This place really has a lot to offer. The location is great, to start. Then the large window and stair design really open up the space, making it feel bigger than it is (with that lovely view cementing the deal). The loft ceiling height is low, but given the micro apartment status, a futon of some type would be sufficient, along with the storage provided by that space. The kitchen functions well and the shoe rack is large enough. The washing machine pokes out a bit too far into the entrance, but that seems to be not uncommon. The toilet and shower are average and seem a bit worn. Finally, the price felt reasonable. I’d give this place a go if I were looking.

I actually like this one! Nice stable, safe stairs with storage underneath! The loft looks roomier than you try to indicate. I would put a regular twin mattress without a bed frame in the wider area closer to the stairs. (It looks like it would fit; and you really don’t need or want a bed frame in a loft like that.) The back narrower area of the loft would be for storage. Toilet paper could be stored in the cabinet under the sink for toothbrushing, face washing etc. (I agree it’s a bit of a pain to have toilet paper storage through two doors away from the toilet instead of in the same room as the toilet.) I don’t like the fixed gas burner; but I would get a cutting board to put over the kitchen sink for a prep area. Then about a counter height refrigerator and a microwave to put on top of it. If I had to live in a micro apt, I wouldn’t have that many shoes so I would take out the shelves from the top level of the “shoe cabinet” and put a bar on top to hang jackets. The little terrace is nice and looks big enough to put a small chair and side table. I think you tend to sometimes focus on the things you prioritize. (Ie: Bed type) That worked well back when the concept of your videos was looking for an apartment for yourself. But since you decided to stay in your apartment, but continue showing us different apartments; it might be interesting to try to show how others live in these tiny spaces. I realize that is much more difficult to do; but it would be interesting if you can recruit some people who would be willing to let you video their spaces. Like first show an empty apartment; then the apartment of someone living in an apartment in the building with the same layout to see how the space is really used.

Thank you for showing us this apartment 😊🫶

i don't understand the sink situation though i appreciate the medicine cabinet/mirror. I kinda like the stairs (better than ladder. But you gotta be slim and open the window can be a bit awkward. but overall, it's okay

I give this one a solid 7 I think. The loft is spacious and I love the little terrace. Thank you for the video 🙂

Things i like abt this apartment,seperation between kitchen/bathroom area and living area, and actual enough space for decent size fridge. Although the basin is in a weird spot.. that space xould have be used for more storage space. And proper stairs!!!! And big window and outdoor spaces. I think thats suppose to be curtain rail in the loft for wardrobe... I would give 7.5 for this place

That TERRACE is a dream. Think of all the tomatoes you could grow out there in the summer!

WoW! I'll take it! LOL! I love the quirky design! I could see myself in this, if it were just me. I've never heard of the dishes stored under the sink before so I'd probably get a small fridge and put shelves above it for them. I like the wash basin in the living area tho cus I like to brush my teeth and wash my hands several times a day (I like feeling clean teeth and I do messy things a lot so it's convenient). I think I'd make that lowest shelf in the storage rack in front of the window into a little seated on the floor office area. I'd have a higher eating table and chairs in the open space and a small reading chair too. I can see the loft area being both a sleeping area and a tv etc area too. I think this is my fave one yet! Ground floor with terrace and lovely view of the neighboring space plus rent isn't too much (lol, I live in Los Angeles area so even the highest rent you've shown is a steal) but this one is nicely in the middle of the rents you've shown for places. Well worth it to me!

很棒❤對單身貴族來說,空間足夠使用和休息,整理不費力,配備也節省,保護隱私和空氣質量都規劃得當👍

I’d go with as many convertible furniture pieces as possible. The wide-angle lens makes the apartment look quite spacious, so having objects placed in their there for scale is the most accurate way to discern how big it is. Arm span (equivalent to height) is another good way to communicate how much space you have to move around. This place looks like it has everything you need & nothing you don’t. Rent is reasonable, and you’re conveniently-located, so this micro-apartment would be great for whomever’s lifestyle it suits.

Three different sinks is a little excessive for such a small place. I would put a standing storage rack/shelves above the toilet and maybe just leave a little space above the toilet to be able to wash hands.

They should have put that closet where that unnecessary extra sink is.

I love the use of every inch of space.... I'd use a Murphy bed, folding up and out of the way during the day, more floor space, and fold down at night...

For looks and general layout, this apartment probably makes my top 5 easily. What knocks it down from being at the top is the short loft height, video certainly doesn't convey how close to the ceiling you are up there. If I have a loft, I want to comfortably use it.

Me too. And the stirage space and stairs make furniture extremely limited

Amo este apartamento!! Cómodo funcional y mucho espacio de guardado! Y a la pileta del salón le pondría una madera para poner maquillajes y pintarme ahí xq tiene el espejo!!

nice apartment. if i were the building owner, I'd probably do away with that extra sink in the living room and just replace it with the washing machine (so that the space for washing machine in the kitchen could be used for extra countertop space), or move the staircase a little bit to leave some more room between the closet and the staircase and the terrace doorway.

I like this flat. It has stairs, a nice little balcony and it has storage space. The sink in the living roo is a bit silly, though.

Love this! 9/10. The shower space is very small. Otherwise I love this, lots of natural light, beautiful stairs, plenty of storage options, and outdoor space (overlooking a wonderful garden next door).

A few odd things (the sink, the shoe rack for 17 pairs of shoes, and the mysterious curtain support in the loft) but I like it otherwise. Especially the closet. And it's just barely out of my price range... I'd go for it.

I have mixed feelings about this unit. The space given to “the basin” could be better used - the sink in the kitchen is enough in such a tiny space. The gas hob, hmm…why not an induction cook top?… no gas fumes, less wasted heat. The loft space is good, if difficult to move around in with its limited height. But, the price is surprisingly low for an apartment in a popular area.

Why are the shoeracks so large in the micro apartments. 😅 I guess it would be usefull for other type of storage. I doubt a person living there has that many shoes lol. Nice video, I really enjoy the variety of apartments shown here! Thanks for sharing!
