This has to be the 2nd best loft micro apartment to have appeared on your channel. 1st one is still the other one which had a very large balcony and large living room (episode 48). This one is a close second for sure. Nice living room and your loft is easily accessed through the stairs instead of ladders. Kitchen separated as well as the toilet and bathroom. Good price too. I would use a floor sitting coffee table in the middle, tv on the wall next to the door and my working desk in the corner under the air conditioner. Pretty nice place.

This micro-apartment with a loft is one of the loveliest loft apartments I've ever seen, with the key reason being that it uses a staircase instead of a ladder. Regardless of what you use the loft for, as a sleeping area, as a study, or as storage space, the staircase makes it so much easier to move the stuff up to the loft. The area of the loft is perfect for a twin size bed. If you plan to use the loft as sleeping area or as a study, you may need an electric fan or portable air conditioner though. It doesn't look like cool air from the AC will reach the loft, due to it is installed at a lower level than the loft. Hot air ascends, but cool air descends. When it comes to arranging the furniture, the floor plan of this micro-apartment gives you a lot of flexibilities. The monthly rent is less than $450 USD. With such affordable rent, it makes this lovely micro-apartment even more attractive. Thanks for sharing!!

I'd put a desk & chair in the downstairs small alcove and I'd also place the TV on the desk and would use it for both work and entertainment. I'd place two small armchairs in front of the window with a very small round table between them. The color palette is great, the finish quality is great and I also like the white two suspended beams. There I would have house plants such a Pothos that can live in low light. I would not put anything on the windows. I might also install a small fold down table for eating. Above the fridge and washer I'd add extra storage cabinets. The walls on the stairs would look great with framed art.

This apartment might be my favourite out of those you’ve showed so far! Sensible space distribution, *stairs* , doesn’t feel cramped and gives you plenty of choice in how to use the rooms. The loft has a small window to make it less stuffy. And the rent is fair too! The only thing I don’t understand is why the coat hooks are in the living room instead of on the wall between the genkan and the washing machine, but it doesn’t really matter.
@mrs.manrique7411Ай бұрын
I would put a round table centered with the window, against the wall under it . TV on wall between stair and closet on shallowest stand one can find. I would keep that bookcase back in that cozy area, but perhaps with a 16 inch armchair and stool/side table. 2 more stools at the table, 3 total stools for you and two friends. Fit a tiny 4 foot flat lounge in the corner across from the window and next to the entry to the living space. If I could customize a piece, it would be a triangular futon/mattress for optional sleeping for a 5’ 7” tall or less person. Up to 7 people could sit in the living space at this capacity.

I would place the bed at the first floor and a writing desk on the loft with a small fridge. 😅 If I must go out of the bed at night I do not want to climb down and up again stairs. In the small corner under the air conditioner I would place a bookshelf as you did and a cozy chair or small sofa. I miss a place to sit down near the kitchen but this is a luxury problem. 😅 The bathroom and toilet are also very nice and everything looks new. I really like that in nearly every apartment there is a place for a washing machine. I wish this would be standard in my country too. Only the view outside is not so nice but when the surrounding is more green it also would be nice to go outside. The price is perfect and very reasonable for such an apartment. 😊

I would have a bed in the living room where the small space is, but using it for a reading nook would be nice too. Using the loft space seems doable with it being open and not cramped. It gets plenty of light from the living room light and the window that's in the loft (which is good for ventilation). The rent is a good price too. Thank you for sharing this apartment. It's nice.

But, goodness! All the things you could store up there with such easy access. I would put some of the pretty stained glass film over the window as the view isn't the greatest; a climbing plant on either side and a small dining table in front, maybe even a bistro set. TV on the little wall by the stairs and a comfy love seat on the kitchen wall. Thanks for finding this little gem for us!

I would definitely have my bed in that little area downstairs (I don't know why, but I love sleeping in small spaces like that 🤷♀️) with maybe a chair and desk or bookshelf in the larger space, and have my living room space upstairs. It would be a nice place for guests, too, since they could go up straight from the door without being in the sleeping area. Floor chairs/cushions, a small coffee table, maybe wall-mount TV or projected onto the wall... It would be a fun space. I would want some sort of railing higher than what's currently there in the loft, though. I'm clumsy, so I would probably fall easily. 😂

I would indeed build shelves in the recess part of the room and use a desk on wheels that I would move under the window whenever needed and move back into the recess part when I'm done. Same for the TV counter, on wheels. I would then have a larger couch placed against one of the walls. Small table would be on wheels too. The location seems pretty fine. Tokyo is already so big that I am always surprised when the word "suburbs" is mentioned. A 30 minutes commuting to the center seems reasonable and I like that one can hear the cicadas in summer. The rent seems high, but the features in the apartment make it worthy.

Kitchen OK, place for washing machine and fridge, and stairs! 😊 Ladder is awful, imagine you climb down half asleep to toilet, and break your leg or worse. Many apt. had ladders so far, just no good. This one is big enough so you don't feel like tapped in a bird's cage, I really love it. Shelves or closets on the walls for more storage, and the loft is big enough. About the bed vs. futon: Futons get lumpy, I can't recommend them. Better alternatives are campers mattresses which can be rolled up or a foam mattress. Foam mattresses can be cut to size if you need it to fit a certain space. There looks like to be a rack at the back of the loft you could hang clothes on.

I really love the layout of this one, plus the blue accent on the cabinets and walls is really nice and one of my favorite colors. I wish they had a power outlet in the kitchen so you could use a portable induction cooker as well. I'd also place the desk in that little area as well and place a small comfy chair on the wall between the closet and stairs with a small coffee table and place a small tv stand and tv right across on the wall near the door. Having stairs to the loft area is always a plus for me. I'm not a fan of ladders normally. A nice comfy bed that is low to the floor would fit nicely in that small area and plenty of room to have portable closets for more clothes storage as well. The price is right in my range of monthly rent too. I love it!!!

This one is really cool! I like the separation of the kitchen and bathroom. It's quite spacious for a micro app

This is a winner! Stairs are definitely preferable to a ladder in my book. 😊

Good evening, dear Usui-san. Thank you in advance for this very nice video and the trip to the Tokyo area. The apartment is very attractive, the rent is unusually low and it is a first for you, as it is the first apartment in the form of a maisonette. The steps to the loft are practical, the apartment is generously sized. I would choose the first type of furniture, but use a bed in the loft. But the apartment does have one weak point. The soundproofing of the windows is inadequate, too much noise from outside comes in. Otherwise, another fantastic job from you, my esteemed friend. 😊

I love watching these, whenever I get frustrated with my 34sqm studio apartment in Amsterdam. Then I realise that the average Japanese 20sqm apartment has a much more clever layout and I am still sad to live where I do. I love the loft!! But great video, love to see how other people live!!

Omg, the rent is so cheap too!! An apartment like this in Amsterdam, would go for around €1000 (¥156,000). Should I move to Japan? 🤔

Wow, stairs, closet, *and* a toothbrush holder - these places are getting fancy! Is Spidey trying to impress MJ? 😉 This one is very nice and not very expensive. Stairs > ladders!

I will would love to see lived in apartments too, like yours, to see how people have arranged the furnitures, and how it works when you actually live in it 😉😊 (Discovering your channel and going straight to episode 48 after reading the comments !!!)
