@@dr.doolittle4763 This. Was definitely 5-3 for Usyk after 8. I scored every round and wrote down the score between rounds. Fury pretended to have success by showboating and making faces. And the crowd went ballistic every time he landed on the gloves of Usyk. Also people have to remember that every close round should go to Usyk who was the one pressing the action. Ring generalship matters. So if there is a close round(A couple of them were hard to score) Usyk is the winner of those by default because he pressed the action.

Couple of points: 1. I have not seen people say this, but the referee had to step in to "save" Fury because he was not defending himself any more in the 9th. No one wants Fury brain-damaged for life. He saved the boxer and also boxing, the sport, which would have been permanently tarnished if Fury was reduced to a vegetable. 2. I think more people should acknowledge, celebrate and study the fact that Usyk, a smaller man in every physical attribute, beat the taller, larger boxer. Sure Mike Tyson was usually the smaller man in his fights too, but he was clearly extremely strong, whereas Usyk seems about average in that regard. That makes this fight one for the ages, fighters and coaches will be studying it forever.

Bro the ref was corrupt asf. He was there to safe Fury. Let plenty of low blow slide like that. On top of that Fury should have been stopped. Fury was hanging on one rope to another, to another, to another. You either give the guy 8 count straight away or wave the fight after he is getting his a*** whooped all around the rhing and hang on to every rope the ring has. Also why are you not talking about the insane long count, ONCE again for Fury That was 20 seconds count. Why did the the guy that counted stopped at 3 for literally 2-3 seconds? Absolutely corruption. And commentators being beyond biased towards Fury was terrible. I got Usyk winning this quite wild. Winning 1,2,3,7,8,9,10,11,12. Usyk set the pace. They fought his fight. He was the aggressor, he was landing the cleaner shot, the harder shot, and he also should be awarded the ring generalship. Everything was in his favor. They try to rob him, just like against AJ.
@SmilingIslandRetreat-pn4dd2417 ай бұрын
I mean, sure, you can score it that way if you want. Characterizing it like Usyk was always the aggressor landing the harder shots is just plain lying though. in the middle rounds, Fury was bullying the shit out of him and had him in deep trouble. To pretend otherwise is a rewriting of the fight. That's essentially what makes Usyk's performance so incredible--Fury did seem like he'd figured him out and would have only to resist a lapse in concentration to dominate the rest of the fight (arguably, he did have this but Usyk's refusal to relinquish command was what made it an insane performance).
