This is one of the greatest firings of all time, and it’s the way the press conference is stopped cold when they realize there’s no point in following up on what was under normal circumstances a perfectly reasonable question. In the university’s defense, you can’t put up three straight clunker, non-competitive seasons (5-26 this year for starters) in today’s college game and expect to have your job for long.
@HokiePitcher22

She handled that with such class. I still remember what it felt like getting fired from my first college coaching position. I was the pitching coach at a school in the sun-belt conference and got the axe after an underwhelming 3rd year. It was hard not to take it personally. i felt like an absolute failure but in the end it was the best thing to ever happen to me. Hope she bounces back.

She did handle that amazingly. If she hadn’t shown up she would have been mocked as a woman who couldn’t handle her emotions, and she knows that. Even tho a man could get angry and hostile and just be passed off as understandable in the moment, she didn’t even let a tear go while there. That’s grace and strength and respect.

Lol, she got emotional and then left the Press conference. Nothing special about that. Special is her record of 5-26, which she got fired for. How could you expect anything else? So tell me again, why you would hire her?

@markuss4133 I'm sure it was an emotional time especially receiving the news in that fashion. Most wouldn't of even gotten on the podium after finding out that kind of news. But it's all ab presentation something I can tell you know nothing ab. That's why I'd hire her

Well that kinda puts a damper on the rest of the press conference. She handled that with class and respect. Somebody will be after her quickly, best of luck to her in the near future.
