0 is normal, cobbs isnt a value is a scale for mid scoliosis 10º-24º = mild scoliosis 24º-50º= moderate 50> = several

I understand they measure from the most tilted vertebrae, but why is it that for the compensatory curves above and below the main one, some surgeons dont measure it from the most tilted vertebrae but the one either right before or after it?

It needs to be the top end plate of the one above and the bottom end plate of the one below. This makes it so it is not on the same vertebrae. Great question

Is it rule of thumb that the 1st or top measurement of a cobb angle can only be taken from the upper endplate of a vertebrae and the bottom or 2nd measurement can only be taken from the lower endplate of a vertebrae? What if the most titled line of a vertebrae north of the apex is at the bottom endplate and not the top endplate for the 1st measurement of a cobb angle?
