been playing this for a few hours....you want to look at compacted biomass. 2 biowater lines = 9 gigawatts of power (6/min per bioheater). the plant can power itself with excess solid biofuel (not the water extractors tho...you need 6*300 lines of water to run all those boilers )

I am surprised time and time again how much water you constantly need, and why i love/hate that Mk1 pipes only hold 150 m3 p/min... But there is a LOT to do, and only being behind on buliding something new seems to be the norm in SF+ Have held off rebuilding the initial setup for the base mats, and now i am glad cos unlocked tech that would require a 3rd rebuild already, so luckily i spared a rebuild, but i got a lot of temp setups spread around to do unlocks, and it is as messy as it sounds, so slowly started preparing a mega rebuild instead. The days of putting up a miner and belt it into the factory is a thing of the past, ohhh the crushing and sorting. It is so much fun though, trying to figure things out.

Hey Bitz! Just wanted to let you know about the wind turbin visualize radius, it does work, I have the same issue you do - to get it to show up however you need to press R, place a turbine THEN the radius sphere will show up. If you holster the build gun, clear the hologram or reset in any way you'll need to do that again!

I think the wind speed percentage is related to its production min/max, not its production fluctuation. The higher the turbines are, the more power they produce, thus the min/max increases, but it still fluctuates between those values.

Little tip I have is to make blueprints of the fully constructed boiler and turbine platforms to save time

Steam Power should be in the base game. It is... POWERFUL when done right... but that was off of the previous version of the Enhanced Power Mod. So powerful that you'd be willing to skip coal and oil power. The best place to do it is at the water falls in the grasslands area because it's also got a TON of hydro electric power nodes. You can power your entire build from this one area.

You do realize hydro power is NOT the same as steam power, right? Hydro power is produced by directly flowing water over the turbine. Steam power uses the pressure of boiled water.

What do you think a "coal generator" is? It takes in plumbed water and coal... and outputs... power... what principles do you think it uses to achieve that output from tbise two inputs?

If you are just creating your first Steam plant, see if you can find a hard drive for Compacted Biomass... I am running 30 boilers off two BioWater for 4500MW.

I had a hard time seing the advantage of this, i missed that you get 3 Compacted Biomass for 1 Solid and 2 biomass, i thought it was 1 and then its nowhere close to being a good deal.

@@SonneFrank The explanation of economy I was given on the Discord for the mod was... "For Heater its 20 Biomass or 7.5 Solid Biofuel (15 biomass equivalent) or 6 compact Biomass (8 biomass equivalent) per min"

the assembler recipe for CB does 20/min solid, 40/min biomass to 60 compact biomass. with an overclocked biowater pump, your pulling 150 biomass and 300 leaves per min across 5 fluid conditioners. 120 leaves = 60 biomass, so you end up with an additional 150 biomass, 300 total per min. 120 biomass = 60 soild, so run one constructor to produce 60 solid (120 bio -> 60 solid), leave 120 biomass to feed 3 assemblers (remember? 20/40 per assembler) to get 180 compacted bio. the surplus biomass? convert it to solid bio, feed it to some automated biomass burners and run the production line from them. numbers are easier if you run 2 biowater lines, you end up with 10 fluid conditioners, 5 constructors for leaves->biomass, 3 for bio->solid (2 for assemblers, 1 for auto burners) and 6 assemblers. bioheaters take 6 CB/min, so your gonna run 10 bioheaters per assembler, plus a 300 line of water for boilers, * 6. 60*150mw = 9000mw. enjoy ;)

@@DanielCoffey67 As i had to redo one on my plants i tried to reuse the stream in a Solidifier and Cooler, now i only have to add 7.5 m3 pr. 60 Biological Water adn it does 2.250 MW on 7.5 Water. But damn i takes a LONG time to boot up as the system is really balanced on water and steam, and when its not running, everything is cold and not steamy. Thank god for Mk3 Blueprints, it is the first one to hold a steam setup lengthwise in a single row. EDIT Miscalculated again, not 7.5 water but 127.5, still a lot less, but there was a reason it was slow to boot up.

i've been playing with 68 mods for a few weeks now and it's turbineMK1 and MV generator that don't work. Other parts work. i tried to put pipes in every way.

Why do you put mergers and splitters so close to the machines? I’m stressed just watching you and thinking about trying to upgrade the belt speed later on. You have a huge world to play with, why crunch everything together?

They are upgradable.. But then also I've played enough satisfactory to know when something is a temporary build and when it's not. So, really, it does not matter what this happens to this factory, as I know with my playstyle, I always go 10x bigger.

hey hey! great video! I would disagree that this mod needs the inventory mod. satisfactory plus already includes more inventory upgrades than vanilla, so its not really necessary. at least I havent found it necessary.

I’ve had issues here and there, but that issues I’ve had are from my own poor inventory management as well as me building large scale projects in the early game

I'll second this, I was fine on inventory space in my own playthrough. SF+ already gives you more slots than vanilla to compensate for the increased number of items. The 500 slot mod is still nice to have though, and if you just want to not worry about space then I say go for it.

CO2 doesn't kill plants. It feeds them. More CO2 means bigger plants. Basic Biology.

I use this mod and I love it but I trying make a lot of power and I mean a lot but trying to keep them supplied it not fun >:(
