@@advantagetennis3459 in Orange County by any chance? I’d love to record a match with you if you like? I’m about a 4.0 USTA level. No idea what my UTR is.

@@gamesetmunch I have a lot of league matches taking priority at the moment. Maybe we could do something in the future. Send me an email so I can get your contact info.

1) Not trying to be negative in any way, but if you watch Scotties serve in slow motion you’ll see that he actually lands just before contacting the ball on his serve. This is actually a foot fault since he lands inside the baseline. This normally shouldn’t happen because in a normal conventional service motion the player isn’t consciously trying to jump. The player leaves the ground because of the leg drive he’s using to drive the racket upward and forwards in conjunction with body and hip uncoiling. You might say Scotties jump is a little contrived or certainly greatly miss timed. 2) He actually has the potential to be a very good player if he wants to work at it. A) He’s as faraway from “Robotic” as you can get. Even though a lot of his strokes are a bit abbreviated he never fails to swing the racket freely. A lot of rec players muscle the racket to much, not Scottie. B) He changes his grips to match the stroke he’s hitting, not something that a lot of rec players do. C) He’s very good at Split Stepping. He only failed to do it a couple of times when transitioning to the net. D) Understands that pace isn’t everything in tennis. A rare mindset in this age of bang bang tennis. E) The overall way he handles a racket has a European flair to it. French I’d say. He should watch some MEP matches on the Tennistroll KZbin channel. He could learn how to implement his current tools more effectively. 3) Your most valuable weapon in this match was your stamina and mobility. I can see Scotty destroying a player that lacks these weapons.
