My first experience with this plant was in Sattal jungle. The sting and the pain was unbearable for a few minutes then it subsided; however it did not entirely go away for an hour or so. Thanks for sharing the antidote.

Nice one Jamie. Bringing back more memories. Lots of these Bichoo plants used to grow near my school during the rainy season. We used to go to find red velvet boochies ( that’s what we called them) that used to hide in the long grass besides these bichoo plants. Got stung a few times which was not very nice. It itched pretty bad for a long time. We used to run to the tap and try and cool those burns. Those were the days but good ones for sure. Take care ❤️🤗💕🙏🏼

Myself also experienced same thing in Mussoorie while studying in Wynberg Allen for 12 years (50 years ago). Painful khujli. Palak leaves nearby do work. Also show them cobra snake plant and its poisonous red fruits. The gainda beetle, stag beetle, kept in tin boxes on moss bed and pieces of mango slice. Pick up the beetles with fingers. Show them how stag beetle rises up to fight when stroked on back. How beetle when toppled over on back is unable to come back upright. Sainp ki mausi lizard. ........

Bichoo booti usually grows on land rich in Nitrogen and Phosphate, there is one more similar thing in India called 'Kevach(cow itch) used for nitrogen fixation and ayurvedic medicines. I have used these two a lot to trouble people🙈 A quick cure is urinating on site, if you can.
