Polaris Ranger XP 1000 LED Light Install!!

Just got my 1000 Crew 2 days ago. I had one of these lights installed, it works great helping us when we feed our horses at night! Love it!

I’ve looked at this light for a while now to use around the farm/ranch. Seeing it in your video, it’s dark on the Driver’s side. I think one on each side would complete the 360 lighting. Great informative video, thanks !!

Could they put it to the passenger side my dealership called today and said it cannot be mounted on the passenger side 2022 Northstar ultimate crew

@@2323shaq not sure. I have mine mounted on driver side so it’s easy to get out of ranger and flip up the light. If it was on passenger side I’d have to walk around the vehicle to do it. Plus, in my enclosed trailer I park further towards the passenger side so I have room to get out of my ranger because it’s a tight fit. Good luck.

I believe you can. I think you would just have to buy another wiring harness and do the same thing on the other side.

As far as the lil cube lights you took off you could always use them some where on Zeus! Thanks Joey! I was really impressed with that LED beacon. The camera doesn't do it justice. It literally lit up half my driveway. Always looking to improve Zeus. Lol

UTV DIRT lol 😂 I already know, and yea it seemed very bright to me, I can’t even imagine in person, I love LED lights, I have them on my wife’s F150 they 6000k color and 10, 000 luminous per bulb and it has 4 bulbs on high beam. And I had them aimed down since her truck is lifted as not to blind others. They are stupid bright!

I think the light draws 1.75 amps. Not sure what your pod lights are but I prefer to run separate line for the beacon light. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for the response. Any reason you think it wouldn't work on a Ranger 570 mid size? I called Polaris and they said the electrical is different between the 570 and 1000. Thoughts?@@2323shaq

Looks great! Do you know if it would be compatible with an older ranger? 2014 ranger XP 900. Didn’t know if with just a little adjustment it would work or what your thoughts were on it.

Not sure if it would work. Might be able to rig something up and hook the power up to the battery.

I kept my LED Pods and just mounted my beacon light right beside it. Can't have too many lights.

Isn’t this light adjustable or does it have to be straight up think I might mount mine on driver’s side or is it to bright ?

It is adjustable and you can install on either side. It was easier for me to put it on the passenger side because of the 50 inch LED bar.

I love the videos you guys do on the Ranger! I am thinking about ordering this LED light for my 2021 Ranger 1000 Crew Premium. I was wondering if anyone knows the measurement from ground to the top of this beacon light? I am worried about clearance pulling in and out of my garage. Thanks for any help on this!

Thanks! The LED folds down to 2 different positions so you shouldn't have any issues pulling into your garage.

I just got a 2019 XP 1000 Crew Back County. Do you think it’d be possible to wire 2 of these (one on each side) to the same switch using the Y connector? Would they draw too much amperage?

Yes you can have one on each side.

No it does not come with a wiring harness. I purchased the Polaris OEM wiring harness kit for 84.00 from Amazon.

No I have not added another battery. I haven't had any issues so probably wont add one. I manage a local company here in town.

The Polaris dealership put mine on the driver side and I told them to put it on the passenger side. I can see the driver side it’s the passenger side that I worry about when I’m plowing snow.

Can I add second light and run it off the one switch/harness or do I have to do the complete install with a second light? Just put my first one on. Thought maybe I could just chain two wires over to the second light. Would be sweet

@@UTVDIRT oh cool I see that as an option on the site now. So the one fuse/connection can handle the load of two work beacons? Have you tried it? I love the beacon but it's not truly 360, more like 270 so would like second light to light up other side.
