When you have another problem with mold, maybe there are mold spores on the tarantula... then you should take her in quarantine for 2 weeks! You just take a new enclosure with dry kitchen towels and a water dish, without any substrate or decoration and then your tarantula should be definitively mold free after this 2 weeks 😊

I have had the same problems with mold in my tarantula and frog habitats when I used coco mulch or any of the commercial reptile soils. I read once a breeder for pac man frogs recommended peat moss. It's more acidic and more bacteria and mold resistant. Anyway, I bought some organic peat moss, and mixed it 50/50 with coco mulch. Not one speck of mold since, even in very humid environments. It also holds tunnels very well for tarantulas. I got the organic peat moss from Lowes. It's very clean and ready for use as is. Only $10 for a big bale. Give it a try, I bet you will be happy with the results!

I can cure your mold issues on your Dolichothele diamantinensis. They prefer their enclosure dry very similar to Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens. Keep a water dish and just wet a corner a little bit or the webbing but keep it dry. It will be much happier and no mold issues.

you can stop mold issues by running a tiny pc / USB fan for like 20 minutes a day on a timer. Even if there is a lot of spore in the tank it can't propagate if there is regular airflow.

Mold spores are very hardy and you deffo need to do more than just rinsing it off. There are some products for killing mold, but you can also use bleach. For some stuff like wood, you can boil it then put it in a warm oven (as low as it'll go) and leave it in there until it's dry.
