I dropped the game, or more like, it took a long break. I played at launch and took me around 120 hours. I'm gonna start playing the full release soon and seeing what changed. On a side note all the DLC is just cosmetic right?

@@Igoorboy it’s a survival game so it takes awhile to beat. It has pvp servers as well if you enjoy that. I stick to pve

@@Igoorboy I mainly played PvE servers with default gathering rates and what not. The first time took me like 70 hours, something like that, the other times it was like 30-50, cause i knew what to do already. My first playthrough, after I defeated all the bosses, I set goals for my self such as collecting all the hats and capes (cosmetics that you can get as rare loot), but after getting 90% of the collection I kinda stopped playing till the next update.

I'm surprised there's not a single reference to resource gathering and crafting. It was a huge part of the game when I played it a couple years ago. Besides, I see the combat, skills, bosses etc a LOT more developed. I hope the other part grew too!

@Spriktor battlerite wasn't their only game btw, also the game had a good sized player base and they even got E3 time when they announced battlerite for the Xbox. It's up to the devs to keep player interested and engaged and when the player base started to dip instead of releasing updates to help, they just dropped the game, and I'd imagine they hurt they're relations with Xbox quite a bit as well seeing as how it ended up being an E3 spot wasted. Just saying, wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing with this game as they've done previously with their other titles.

Looks like the worlds scale and perspective has changed a bit with the new lighting engine on top of it. For instance, we seem to be seeing things from a slightly lower slope compared to a very steep camera angle, and mobs seem slightly larger. Another clearer example is looking at that Adam fight we saw a few seconds of. Anyone who reached that fight knows it can feel pretty tight with the boss and the lightning grid. Seems like it was scaled up and there is now more room to move.

@@serkuos1799 I played through the game 4 or 5 times.. with different groups of friends and loved every bit of my 550 hours. If you just rush rush rush rush then I can see why that might get boring.. some people like to collect all 5 100% blood types, deck out 10 servants in the best gear, build the castle of their dreams.. etc... there are things in the game to keep you content if you like them but if your only goal is to rush to the end then well that's that you get.. a rush to the end.

@@jeremyslg9994 There are patch notes both in discord and in steam that show the changes for 1.0. They are adding a whole new zone, Dracula will be the final boss, we get to fight Simon Belmont and they are reworking the skill tree system and adding some passive magic systems as well. That's all I know off the tope of my head.

The whole concept is so original, intriguing and well executed. The idea of yourself being able to become a boss and create your own dungeon/castle other players must enter at their own risk with traps and all makes it so damn cool.

This is one of the best games I've played in years. The combat, mechanics like sun damage and the visuals are all amazing, real pioneering in gaming when all other games suck right now. It's like Baldur's Gate 3 but fast action and PvP

I was recruited by a guy I played one game with before. He bought me this game and I still play this. 599.2 hours on record so far and counting. The only other game I've ever played that much is FFXIV and Ark, and a good few days are just afk'ing in those games. If you like top-down games that are challenging and rewarding as much as they are chill and fun, get this game. Also HELL YEAH CASTLEVANIA DLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can finally faithfully recreate Alucard rather than have a shadow of him!
