There’s a real early 90s ABC afternoon TV vibe to that intro. Pretty cool steel imo. Long lasting edge, easy to sharpen and maintain, tough, and corrosion resistant in laminate form. And cheap! Noice.

Pete, you should really do some tests with Spyderco 52100, there have been multiple confirmed tests and reports of it being able to beat out high end steels such as S90V and M390! Also, it would be pretty neat to see how much better a easy to sharpen steel like V-TOKU can hold an edge if you stropped it for say, every 20 cuts very casually on your pant leg, than a high end steel like REX45 or Maxamet will without any stropping. If pant leg stropping can make a big difference for steels like Superblue and V-TOKU, it may really change peoples perception of the steel

Really like the shape of that blade why isnt the stretch talked about like the delica seems much more attractive and looks like it has good belly and a stronger tip.
@JustPorcupines
@JustPorcupines 5 жыл бұрын
I own both, so here's some anecdotal reasoning for the hype... The Delica blade is just under 3", which makes it legal in many more places. It has a much more precise tip, which is great for fine work. The blade is thinner overall, for superior slicing. The weight is less, which is more subjective, and lastly, the price is lower. Many people seem to find the Stretch too ugly to consider, so it's often left out of the conversation. I can agree with the consensus; the Stretch handle is extremely comfortable. It's on par with the Manix 2 and Paramilitary 2. Slightly better than both in some areas, and worse in others(depending on hand shape and size). I don't like a lot of belly on my knives, so the Delica and Manix are more favorable for my uses. The belly and stronger tip you like on the Stretch, seem to be the very reasons why people choose other models. It's all preference though. If you like it, don't own one, and have the means, get one. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
