I was waiting for your reaction!!! This song was pure MAGIC & it was composed with Tae & HYOSHIN’s love for jazz! Tae and Hyoshin participated so heavily in this song (production, lyrics & composition) and it shows in this end result! He’s truly the total package, his personality, his visuals, his voice, and his acting are all so beautiful!! This song and MV is magical, I love it so much and I love how he’s really showing who he is an artist apart from who he is in BTS! I love how this song came out thanks to their pure friendship and genuine love and respect for each other! Tae and HYOSHIN’s friendship is so special to me! You have to see the Cinematic Still version (which has Hyoshin in it as well) and the shoot sketches for both MVs! 🥹🥹 love your reaction! 💜💜 Also can’t wait for White Christmas!! ❄️❄️ & so sad about Yeontan’s passing 😭😭 I cried all day and can’t imagine how heartbroken Tae is!

This reminds me of the female soloist Lee Hi, a couple years ago, putting out a Christmas medley mv and one of the songs was a wonderful Chet Baker jazz standard. This song is very much 1963 Chet Baker, even down to the distinctive trumpet solo.

A curious thing about WINTER AHEAD is that he and Park Hyo Shin were drinking and Tae showed the song and they agreed to do it right there, that this song was on Tae's mixtape which after 3 years was preparing to be released in December 2022, as he spoke to IU, but the project was not approved (as we already know due to the great success it is having... either to avoid standing out too much or because it was thought it was not commercial... after that report I believe in the first hypothesis ) then he he had to redo the project from scratch and Layover was born, ready in April but only launched in September, following the same classic style, but more contemporary. Being a great success even with boycotts and obstruction of sales (we know thanks to the report) but a lot of Layover is being appreciated now due to the lack of publicity and whoever listens is really enchanted. Once again Tae looked for new producers and all the publicity came from him, friends and fans, if you read the description the partner company came in with 8 people and the Paris production company with everything else, hybe came in with just the channel and the numbers suffered changes again, so he did the same thing with "WHITE CHRISTMAS" as he did with "WHEREVER U R" where those interested wanted his collab. the mv was produced and posted outside the hybe channel, by VEVO. And we are grateful because it's like he always says, "I do it for the fans!". So "THANK YOU SIR. CAPTAIN!!!".💟☃️❄🌟👑💜

There's another MV of Winter Ahead where V& Park Hyo Shin are at a table in a restaurant and they sing their parts to one another as if in conversation. Simply and beautifully done. Love this song, mv and the blending of their voices...amazing!
