This song was made thanks to V and Park Hyo Shin’s true friendship and their love and respect for each other, their voices are so beautiful and magical together!! & this MV was so artistic and I’m so proud of Tae for how involved he was in the whole process and his acting is phenomenal!!! Today is a very sad day, the eighth member of BTS ... Yeontan " V's dog" left this world and I can't even believe it and my heart is broken and I cried so hard..I can't even imagine taehyung is dealing with this..i really really really hope taehyung was able to say goodbye.. 💔 My heart hurts so much when I remember Taehyung when he said: “I wish he cld tell me whenever he felt sick or unwell” to those who may not know, tae mentioned that tannie had an issue with his hind legs and also breathing difficulties,before adopting Tannie, Taehyung knew he had health issues. he spent half a year studying about dogs and seeking advice from dog trainers. he gave him the best life possible! Tae truly was the best dog dad! ,Taehyung chose Yeontan as the cover of his first album as a solo artist and Taehyung chose Yeontan as the cover of his Christmas song And also appearing with him on stage in his promotions and performances. Taehyung tried to share every moment with him so that it would remain a memory for him and us and Taehyung made sure that he would be remembered everywhere because he wanted Yeontan to be in our hearts forever. We all love her so much and will remember her For a long time. She is in our memories as Taehyung's heart and we will be forever grateful for the beautiful influence she had on his life. And most importantly Yeontan, thank you for all these years.. RIP YEONTAN 🕊.. Sad

@@brayonne1755 Yes- he's a lonely artist who has begun to create the worlds he wants to live in, populated by people he would like to spend time with. In a way, it's a reimagining of Pygmalion but it is also Frankenstein- Dark V (Taehyung the actual man) created the persona V or Vantae- notice how the light version looks younger and more innocent? But V began to believe that he was the creator, instead of the creation and made up a whole series of friends and a companion. He's in tears at the end because he discovers he's not real- but the real man tells him, it's okay- you can live and be happy in your fantasy. So we see at the end, the persona V playing with his companion- and then the very last shot is the whole person- the creation and the creator accepting both parts of himself. At least, that is my read on it- I am sure it's not the only correct interpretation, if it is even correct. The bit on the stage and in the audience also harkens to Shakespeare's line "All the world's a stage and the men and women only players" which fits in with the story well.

It is inspired in the Greek Mythology character Pygmalion who was a talented sculptor. In the story he had sculpted a woman who came into life and was actually has the same perfection like him. One scene showed V writing on sculpture's face a mark that looked like "V". The two V characters were probably also illusions. So complex story.

This is the concept that started here, and in psychology, it means that other people's expectations can have a great influence on our behavior and performance. When you receive expectations, you are motivated to meet them, and this creates the power to actually create better results. V seems to represent both an artist and a creator. (An idol and a producer who creates music) (He himself, dressed in black and red, is also a life that originated from a sculpture.)

Inspired by the story of Pygmalion who disdains the world and lives only for his art. He creates a statute of the woman and loves that sculpture so much he wished it was alive. Aphrodite grants him his wish and brings the statute to life. Tae adds his twist to this and at the end the creator comes face to face with his creation. The ‘creation’ (red jacket V) comes to realise that he is looking at his creator. He expresses the realisation that he is actually the statute living in the ‘paradise’ where he thought he was the creator of the female statue. This is seen by him touching the mark on his neck which is the same as the one on the female sculpture. The creator (Black Jacket V) expresses that as the actual creator the ‘paradise’ belongs to him. Tae inspires critical thinking with his are allowing for multiple theories to coexists in his artistic story telling. And he always gives a masterclass in acting. I see a running theme now of our duality king. Two V’s ending MV’s, first in the friend’s MV and now this mv. V vs Kim Taehyung, Tiger vs Bear, he has told us he has his stage persona V the tiger and he is Kim Taehyung the bear in his normal life. I’m wondering based on the timeline of the song releases if the 2 V’s in the Friend’s MV at the end was a teaser for the ending in this mv. He made winter ahead 2 years ago so he knew the storyline before he made slow dancing and friends so dropped the Easter eggs in those mv to tease us. BTS are known to tease the next mv at end of songs. Kim Taehyung’s Duality storyline in his own VU (V universe) - C-Coffee, Friends and Winter Ahead, not to forget the multiple V’s in Slow Dancing…to be continued?, I wonder? Who knows. Only V!

This video is based on a mythology story I believe where a god makes a statue of what he believes is the perfect woman and the woman comes to life (I could be getting the details wrong on that). So in this music video, V portrays the sculptor who's sculpture comes to life (all the people in white are also sculptures) and the reason the girl disappears at the end is cause her sculpture broke and The V that shows up at the end is the real sculptor that created a sculpture of himself to signify the happiness he's always dreamed of and the V we've been following through the video comes to the realization that he himself is a sculpture which is why he starts to cry. This is just the main theory going around and it makes the most sense to me

She was a statue come to life, and so was V in the red a statue too, the X or V sign is what the real V put on the necks of his Sculptures, the V who came to life realizing in the end that he wasn’t real and it was all a dream so his face showed acceptance and sadness when he saw the real V and realized the girl statue had a mark on her neck too and he did also; the people in white were statues which were in a deteriorating state, he was so sad and V makes me cry when he cry’s 😭 I think this song is about loneliness for the both Taes 😢

V is deinitely an old soul that's beautiull. Love this song! I picture it as Tae creating V, the persona. Him walking and dancing by himself, in the theater (the performer), walking with a teddy bear (the child in him) the dancing crowd (those who influenced him).. And in the end, he discovers "paradise" when he finally sees his creation of V and somewhat accepts it that it's definitely a part of him. Still just my thought. Winter is Tae's favorite season and, through it all, when winter comes, he still feels warmth even in the cold because he knows he will always have his creation with him. his creation is "dark" because of all the trials and pain" he as endured. So the girl is also a part of him, his many facets of his persona. Truly a masterpiece!

My take on this MV - Tae was lonely in his mansion and he starts sculpting a female statue. After some time the statue comes to life and Tae spends his best moments with her. Now in the starting of the video we see Tae marked the statue with an X mark on her neck and the girl has that too. Which makes Tae and us the audience believe that the statue of the girl came to life. But in the end while Tae was enjoying, his real self (bloody Tae) comes to give him a reality check. While Tae looks at him he realizes the status that he actually created was of himself and there was actually no girl with him. He was alone the whole time. Tae sheds a drop of tear when he realises this was all made up by him and that he needs to accept the cruel reality.
