At 22:15 ish, behind you were some beautiful hills with red and white striations. In that moment, I wanted to reach out and touch that background scene. As I sit here listening in to a 3rd grade zoom class with my kid, I have the urge to scoop him up and drive all the way to those hills. I have the Jeep, I need a tent and camping stove; I have a cooler so that would work. Please keep moving on Chris. Your work is inspiring.

Watching your video was like a blast from the past. I used to live in Lander and I still have family there. I loved all the adventure you went through while there on this video. I used to play and even learned how to swim in that park where you stayed, and my family used to go up the canyon in the fall and pick choke cherries that my mother made jelly from. I almost wish you had shown where the Popo Agie came out from it's journey under ground. I remember there was a large pool that they hatched trout in. I don't know if it is still there. If you continue on up the switchbacks from the canyon, you can travel over a long road back to US 287 past a couple lakes where we used to go fishing. I know the area now gets a lot of tourists as the last time I was up there the roads were very well traveled and really dusty. I still call that area home, even though I haven't lived there since about 1967. I live in New Mexico now. Thank you for the video.

Hey Chris, I'm not sure if you know this already, but if you are ever in a pinch - you don't need a winch point to rescue yourself - just dig a hole in the ground and pack your spare wheel into it. You can winch off of that. Lots of YT videos demonstrating this. Just FYI. Cheers

First off, you absolutely made the right call on that ditch crossing. A quick risk analysis shows that you could get irreversibly stuck, or get to the other side. The risk far outweighed the gain. I'm not sure where you stand on sponsorship, but if Jeep isn't jumping at the chance to give you a new JL, or even a Gladiator, they're fools. Over 20k views in the first day and all you do is talk about, and show, how great the Jeep is. Anything you have ever said negative, was deserved. You can't buy that anywhere. On the other hand, Ford may be willing to have the opportunity to show off their new 4-door Bronco.

Hi Chris, and everyone else. I am a longtime viewer and big fan, I recently got into overlanding much due to being inspired by your adventures. I enjoy watching your videos as often as I can and often binge watch older episodes while waiting for next weeks episode. I have a quick question and if any of the other viewers know please feel free to answer. I know for the most part you use rocks or whatever you can find to help level your jeep however, I seem to remember at one point you used to use chocks specifically designed for leveling the vehicle. I was wondering what chock was it that you used to use, I have been looking through the episodes and been having a difficult time trying to find it. Thanks!

Not even joking - time to get a danforth boat anchor. For situations where you need to winch where there's no winch, the danforth will dig into the dirt and sand - and will give you a viable winching point.
