As far as the officer giving up his ride for the AT team, I believe the phrase is "military expediency." If it was me, I'd rather walk a bit than get blown up by a tank.

Great video.... With regards Shinannighans: British Recce Platoon : Inexperienced Platoon Commander Regular Infantry Squad (5) Regular ATR Team 3 x LTV 4 Buffalos - Light AC, 2 HMG, 1 MMG OK, expensive at 603 points for only 6 dice, but can transport pretty much your whole army (72 infantry in total, so 64 additional infantry).. Possibly the most powerful Recce transport in the game, especially as each weapon can target a different unit..... in theory the transports alone can pin out any regular AFV in one turn..... Of course, if there's a Company Commander nearby, you can also 'Snap To' all 3 Buffalos!

@@VioletMoonMediaWargames Yes mate absolutely, I think the buffalo could be a real star asset in V3! I hadn't considered taking more than 1 to be honest, also I'm not sure it would use it's recce ability that often, but early game or in a pinch it could be indispensable! I don't actually own one though (yet).

@@scholaprogenium7276 yeah, its very much a first/second turn trick, but the opportunity to get your whole army onto objectives shouldnt be laughed at, especially with all that firepower..... Waiting to see if my brandenburgers can steal one or three....

Soviets used to have Tank-hunters. Small 2-man panzerfaust teams. They even had scout. So jealous of Bazooka teams, I really am.

Yeah man I love bazookas, I have always had access to the much pricier panzershreck and much less effective piat but the bazooka is a great middle ground I have found! Yeah man I get you, the big book is great for its simplicity but there are a lot of cool units missing, can't wait to see these army books.

@scholaprogenium7276 I got 3 of the rubicon models versions, painted 1 german dark grey the other done up as a civilian blue, my Fallscirmjäger are mostly infantry, just my unit lore is they found an abandoned Hanomag and a few staff cars to help get around behind the lines

@@ev17dan ah fascinating, I've heard good things about Rubicon kits, need to check them out myself. Love that lore, late war accounts I've read have a lot of that, particularly in the case of commandeering vehicles. I'm just completing my V3 update for my finns this week then it is straight on to my new winter fallschirmjager, can't wait!

@scholaprogenium7276 I highly recommend their kits, I have a m10 accillies 2 105 Sherman's and a 76 sherman, they go together super well, lots of additional details on the hulls as well over the warlords kit, but seeing as I'm in America it is probably cheeper for me heh, also cheers for the videos, you and your brother are my go to for bolt action

How viable would a German recce platoon with 250 or 251 stumel be? Germans have all these variants, but it still seems like a better idea to put points into tanks and mortars or artillery

@@michaelshrumii1494 I faced one actually, I wasn't that impressed to be honest, it seemed out of position and had to recce to safety away from my bazooka, rather than fire. That's just one battle, though I think you're probably right, let the support weapons handle the fighting and let transports focus on their main job!

You can't give the recce platoon a Stummel, as it's a SPG rather than a transport, even though it has a transport capacity. (Warlord have stated this and it should be in the next FAQ)

11:49 I asume a Bazooka is 60p.... with an inexp car 14p =74 + Recce =84. You get out of the CAR, and shoot and hit on a 5+. That doesn'T give me a pump. Or do you try to get into point blank? I played yesterday my Double Air Observer Amercicans (4x Airstrikes) with outflankers, and I wanted to kill enemy "FLAK" so that the Planes could hit Targets, but more imporant pin up 2x 6 inches....(1st one where the Plane hits, 2nd where the Plane comes in 18" away). I took a Sherman and a Hellcat to snipe those Flaks or Armor. I wanted to bring the BAZOOKA TEAM....even on foot, but...60p.... 24 Inches, I asume they always have to move and shoot to get a good hit...and hitting on 5+... I dont know. But I will find out. Because I am ordering Wargames Atlantic Partisans right now^^! 12:46 CAN you snap 2 the CAr, with the Officer and Bazooka team from OUTFLANK / RESERVES? And if so.... you get a -1 to come in from reserves, lets say the car is inexp... does it get the Moralbonus of +2 from the Officer? 15:00 PIATS are for REAL MEN! ^^) Are the RECCE RULES not saying that you can't Recce towards the enemy? GET closer to him. I got to re-read that!

@@dariostabletopminatures Awesome to hear you're hopping on board the partisan party wagon! On the bazookas, yeah just hitting on 5s the turn you hop out, then 4s, no point blank if I can avoid it haha! It's no anti tank gun 3+ admittedly, but mobility is king, and I can get two teams in recce cars (4 dice) for the price of one decent light tank, with the ability to fight heavier armour! Next time I run them I'm going to try cav, perhaps two squads of 5 to hunt support teams,pick of officers and so on. No I don't believe you can "snap to" off the board, being able to do it from transports is crazy strong though! 4 airstrikes sounds great, all those pins must have crazy, I've really got my eye on a hellcat right now, they seem right up my street, I've been thinking about it since game 2 of that tourny, Dan had a couple of them and I fell in love haha

A recce vehicle can "recce react" several times in the same turn ?

No mate, just once and you have to pull the dice so it can't shoot either. Good positioning should mean you only need the one! Cheers :)

If a recce transport reacts with an escape action, the passengers shouldn't be allowed to disembark. I can see this needing a quick FAQ.

Just some feedback. I really like your content about BA but showing a few minis into the camera whilst you explain tactics feels a bit lazy and boring. Would it be possible to show some nice gaming tables or make an AI animates version of yourself, so people do not always look at the same thing? Keep on making content please. You are an amazing driver for the BA community.
