As already mentioned hit O'faithful up in warmer months to cut down on all the steam. Cold temp + hot water = steam=poor Visibility of said geyser. I really have to take my hat off to you Chris for having the fortitude to stick with setting up the tripod for shots of your jeep and you coming and going on the road or trail. You do it at all hours of the day or night in any kind of weather... I am truly impressed!

well for me personally this has got to be some of your best cinematography yet. Some of those shots were utterly stunning. Particularly loved the early morning shots from the top of the pass but the one that bowled me over was the brief shot of the steam coming out of the riverbank just bellow 'Yellowstone river overview' or whatever it was called, just amazing and worth a prize in my book Looking forward to next Friday already :)

Nice...that's the best time of year to visit that area IMO-minimal crowds, the parks aren't quite closed up yet, no bugs, and just the right amount of weather. Really digging what you've been producing, I find it relaxing and almost therapeutic, like how the old nature/travel documentaries used to be on Discovery (yeah, like in the 80's). 👌🏻

Hi Chris...Big fan here. Note: All eruptions of Old Faithful are NOT the same. You managed to experience one of the more boring eruptions. Most of the ones I have seen had visible water...Not just water vapor. In a different time of the year you should check out Glacier National Park if you have not already. I have been there twice and want to go back again. Thanks for reinforcing that my next vehicle will be a Jeep Unlimited that I can camp in. Vermonter here.

Another great video!!! One of the major things I remember about Yellowstone (for some reason) is the number of geysers that are now 'geysers' because someone had the brilliant idea to pump water out of a lake/pond and when they started encountered eruptions THEN decided it wasn't such a good idea ....

Old faithful is more spectacular in the summer. You missed Yellowsrone falls. It has a long series if steps and ladders that goes down along the cliff to an outcropping that gives a phenomenal view of the falls. That bear spray you carry only pisses off the bear. Please carry a 10mm handgun in bear country. We had a bear come into camp when we were at Yellowstone. Nobody wants to shoot a bear but nobody wants to be eaten either. Happy trails! :)
