I’m 51 and just now did a VA evaluation to try and get some percentage of VA disability. I have had no VA disability rating and dealing with a fractured hip. A broken tailbone. Lower back problems and now osteoarthritis as a result of my injury I sustained while on active duty army in Germany from 1992 to 1995

@@wildwest5436 yeah I just went in and told them every detail of what was wrong with me and how it happened. I was there 3 hours mainly because each problem is calculated as a separate case So my fractured hip had to have its own case. My broken tailbone was its own case and my lower back was its own case. So after the nurse practitioner input all the information for each one she had to sign off on it and it was accepted as an in service injury. So it was approved but I’m still waiting for the VA to respond back to me. They said it would take 3 to 5 weeks.

And what is the highest rating you could possibly get for each of the hip limited motion parts of the hip which I counted there where 5 parts/sections they break it up into.

I had a total hip replacement 2 yrs after discharge from the Infantry/combat service 2004, can it be tied into service? Carrying huge loads on my back repeatedly, avascular necrosis. Constant pain since with very frequent bursitis since. I am 70% PTSD and TDIU, need the hip failure as service connected.

Hi, I have a question so I tried to add a secondary claim, Ive been having extreme pain and and some numbness sometimes tingling on my left leg and the worst is the pain on my left buttocks because of my lower back pain which is btw service connected and rated. So i claim left leg radiculopathy, i told my representative. And when I did the c&p exam, the examiner asked me if i have pain in the hip, like in the bones, I said not the bones. Then i pointed out where the pain was which is the left buttocks all the way down to the feet because of the sciatica. Is he gonna count that as hip pain? My rep added that so it was part of the claim and the time of the exam i wasnt sure if my pain was part of my hip because i just said my whole left leg hurts now Im overthinking it and thinking I screwed it up. Does examiners and raters will still count it even though i said i dont have pain in hip bones itself but that area was in pain due to sciatica? Or will it just be one sciatica rating and the hip pain is disregarded?

So I have lower back pain and it cause me so much uncomfortable feelings. Even with my spine it looks like teeth of a caterpillar. But when ever I told to my VA doctor she ended up prescribing more meds. The pain is so severe it sometimes keep me in bed for more than a week. As of right now I can't sit straight with my legs fold. Is there any way you can assist me with this situation or provide guidance? Thank you for the update.

What about PAO surgery? THR would be a much worse route for me being under 30 but I can’t find anything on PAO but it’s still a major hip surgery and is the treatment being recommended for me

I’m afraid to be treated for my pain because I do not want to take addictive medication’s so I live with my pain every day, so are you telling me that if I don’t succumb and take those addictive medication‘s? I can’t be compensated for my secondary service connected issue

If I have hip surgery for acetabular femoral impingement with labral tear due to military service injury, do I qualify for 100% disability for a year? Then afterwards I can put a claim in for disability with an expected minimal rating of 30% for each hip after surgery? I have a lot of movement limitation to both hips. Thanks

Hey sir! I have the same exact diagnosis as yours and issues. I had a arthroscopy a year ago and just tore my hip flexor in the same hip! Have you gotten any answers based on this?

Amazing number of things you complain about and have problems with and they don't rate you four they said my hip was abnormal while I was still in also that I have hip snapping syndrome Humvee was hit head-on was told to hit makes noise due to the fact of the tenants were knocked out of place how to take a full step severely painful if I have to chop my step what's having trouble with weight-bearing so one day the VA called me in for exam but the game they play here they won't tell you what it is for so you can't bring up relevant events or medical information you may have to your exam they added two new conditions that I felt they add because they not want to say it was the condition that's from my combat-related retirement because it would have increased my crsc!
