Dr Kapil Tiwari an intellectual who has the gift of explaining the viewpoint in a way that hits the soul. His honest reasons are so fresh and these reasons unravel the knowledge in the most simple ways. We don't come across such beautiful people that often. I enjoyed the definition of Sanatan as - what can never be old or new like flowing water -. I feel ashamed on how our society's food is now defined as killing and taking other beings' souls. Kapil jee's views were very enlightening on how before Buddhist era Indian society kept idols in their hearts as "धारणा", after budhist era we have started to use मूर्ति in remembering. Thank you Vaad for bringing an elightening session once again.

Secondly, enslavement of people through the use of religion. Once you radicalize them enough they're a slave of their religious ideology. So the countries who have a hold over religious matters and can create influence internationally can use these people as their slaves.

If you study proper history(Not according to Indian Textbooks which are highly biased) you'll find that India had been trading with europe either directly or indirectly since the times of ancient civilizations. The reason why India failed to counter Islamic invasion and further the British is due to the fact that we had become very liberal and moral in times when we should not have been. Islamic invasion was something that happened very rapidly. We were not intrested in conquering the regions which were niether fertile nor very productive. So whenever people from these regions invaded we tried to protect ourselves but never wanted to invade and devastate them... and for very obvious reasons that these regions were more of a liability rather than being an asset. And because we were always playing defensively we lost at the time when we were vulnerable. Still niether Islamic rule nor British rule were able to change India's demography to a larger extent. It was only under the Congress rule when demography changed drastically.

Yet another amazing conversation. My only disagreement is on the point of murti puja where he says that murti puja began in India with the advent of Buddhism. However, Vedas are full of verses that describe the physical attributes of various devtas. Taittriya Samhita of Yajurveda for example extensively describes the form of Lord Shiva "नीलग्रीवय च शीतिकंठाय च, व्युप्तकेशाय च सहस्त्राक्षाय च...." If the physical attributes are described, it means it is the sagun form of the divine and therefore it follows that the physical representation of the sagun form, i.e. murti would be present too.
