I've actually been to Châtaeu de Chambord in France, it's an incredible place to behold and it's history and atmosphere eerily match that of Anor Londo. Chambord was built by King Franz I. during the 16th century, who wished for a palace that would show his might and his ambitions to the world. He never accomplished his goals though, and spent most of his life shunning the finished castle, presumably because it reminded him of everything he never managed to be. Chambord is a castle that was defined by its king abandoning it, and there is a certain emptiness that lingers in its imposing halls. They threw me out when I tried to pull off the stairs jump shortcut. Heh.

Burning bones and talking to eachother was a common funeral practice to remember a friend or family member. My family has wakes and cremates the dead after the celebration. Its like members of other clans gathering to remember the good, the bad, and to just rest from fighting. Stark joy for me.

Something I realized after watching this video is not only how detailed and amazing the Dark Souls series is... But also a lot of these buildings you see in this video also inspired the buildings and castles seen in Re:ZERO. For instance, the Roswall Mansion is an almost identical replica of the Château de Chambord. Many of the buildings shown here seem to have inspired other locations but unfortunately, I cannot get into them due to spoilers since the show is still early on in the story compared to the Light Novel.
