​@Anonym-uu8doI believe I do know what is going on here. Way back when, there was a Minecraft update that caused trees to generate upside down. It got patched in the next update, but any new trees loaded in for the first time during this update would have their leaves underground. Even before that bug another bug was created when they tried to make it so that leaves would decay once you chopped down all the wood in the tree, but for some reason they sometimes just decayed on their own. The random lighting is a separate bug that has been in the Bedrock/console editions for a very long time and still exists in to some degree even now. The meme at the bottom is referencing Herobrine a creepypasta said to be responsible for these and a number of other bugs

Since people have stopped this practice, the percentage of lefties appears to have gone up, when in reality the percentage was probably always around 12% and was being artificially lowered. A similar trend can be seen with other things that have gone from socially unaccepted to accepted (ex: LGBTQ)

The reason left handedness has gone up is because it hasn't. A long time ago, we lefties were either forced to use our right hands or just killed. So, understandably, the apparent number of left handed people was lower than the true number. Now, nobody attacks left handed people for it, so its returned to natural numbers of about 10%. In fact, the word "sinister" originally meant "left".
