Whalon lake is an old rock quarry by Naperville, IL. It is part of the Du Page County park system. You can not fish from the dock, and the weeds are 30-50 feet from the shore, so you need a boat. I had never been there before, so I didn't know I needed a boat. So much for my 40+ min drive to get there. Upside though... it's a nice place and not at all scary.
