The building is now surrounded by 3 metre security fencing, with talking cctv cameras and reactive security. This is probably the last sight of this amazing place. Great video, well done.

Herstmonceux East Sussex, I worked there when the Isaac Newton teliscope was removed in the late 79 /80, it was then The Royal Greenwich Observatory , the time piece that supplied the time signal was housed there. It's in the grounds of Herstmonceux castle education science centre, it's full of asbestos if you didn't read the signs ?

Great explore of this fabulous observatory. Loved Ed’s pose by the control desk 😂 Nice that you went back up to investigate the outside walkway which definitely looked a bit dodgy😱 Thought you liked heights Alex!! I’m sure you could have climbed those ladders to the top!!! Bit random seeing those owls - presume they’re part of a nature trail. Great video 👍👍

That place was going into a state of decay and will soon not be fit to mess around in . I'm glad you got in and took the chance to look about but I must say when you looked over the railing the view to the ground was not my cup of tea ( FAR TOO HIGH ) . Thanks to you and the crew for an exciting armchair explore of a very old structure . Will be looking forward to your next video , Stuart in Canada ..

What a great find , great to see Thankyou . It’s a tragedy that these sort of buildings are left to just go to waste . They could of turned it into a museum of space . So much could of been done . It must of cost millions to build . What a waste . You guys are great highlights stuff like this . Thank you ❤

Another great explore by you and your crew I got a bit worried about Ed on those boards I thought they were going to collapse and he would fall to the ground they were pretty rotten it’s a-shame they took the telescope out and moved it to another area. It’s also great to see your brother going out with you to explore different places as well it would bring you both closer together and have similar interests to things. Anyway be safe I look forward to another adventure with you guys keep up the great work you all do. Regards Allan.

Alex amazing video. A wonderful piece of history, sad it's decaying .I think it should be restored. I will never get to visit there so thank you for taking me along with you. I live in a city that has far too many bright lights and they out shine the stars so we have to go out to the desert to get a good view of them. Please keep up the good work I look forward to the videos💖💖

As a member of a local astronomy group some years ago who were allowed to visit and use most of the telescopes this is one place we were never allowed to go. I was told that it was going to be turned into something for the community, but obviously that never happened. Probably a lack of money.

You want people to watch your channel but there is other people besides me that cringe. Just simply respect. By any chance was there a bathroom up there? Could one imagine really having to go and have all those steps to go down! lol 😂
