Sooooo..... you wouldn't put a new modulator in it and see if that was actually the issue? Or even check band adjustment? I'd never buy a car from you.

Exactly my first thought! Also, doesnt need teflon it should have a o ring and hand tighten back in.

No go ahead and buy it for asked price or a little less then check the modulator and adjust or check the adjustment on the bands. Sounds like you understand diagnostics 😎

Transtar has replacement pins. Also guys, check your rubber vacuum hoses and hard lines for kinks/cracks/leaks and make sure you attach hose to the proper vacuum source, manifold or ported. Thanks. Cheers from Motown.
