Perfect fix. It just needed a little squeeze. Thank you!

Hello I need to ask how to disassemble the dust bin completely? I made a mistake and soaked the whole bin in the water, not understanding that it contains wiring inside the pastic (!), and now I see water/dampness condensating around the wiring, inside the plastic, right between the wall of the bin and the darkgrey duct jack that sticks out. Is it possible to dettach this darkgrey duct part from the bin? I unscrewed both the tx8 screws that were visible on the bin part (one is in the red gasket area, and the other is in the grey duct part, right next to the red 'flapping door'. I have the same question about the orange pole as well, I also showered it with water, and only later understood it contains wiring inside (!). Is it possible to disassemble the pole as well, so I can be sure to dry the wiring completely?

There are clips holding the grey section to the clear bin. I have not been successful at separating that section. I wouldn’t worry too much about the moisture in there. It may not matter too much as that section is not open to any airflow which means the motor will not suck in any of that moisture. As far as the pole, just set it out in the sun and you will be ok as long as you don’t see any standing water in or around the plug sections.

@@richardsvacuumcenter Thank you! Other resources also confirmed that it is best not to pry these parts open, they (the clips) are designed to break if pried open. Regarding the water condesation, I was afraid of short circuit situation around wiring. I left all parts dry for more than 72 hours plus blowed warm air from hair dryer, assembled it back and all is well! Thanks once again for replying. Best regards,

OMG, thank you, as I just finished paying $120.00 for a new part on Amazon as the great dyson company didn't have it in stock and were not sure when they would.😮It was going to be $130.00 before taxes and delivery . I will NEVER buy another dyson, absolutely not worth the cost, and the customer service is absolutely awful. Good luck getting someone who can speak clear and understandable english. I'll also bet that they are not paying the immigrants they hire a proper wage or even help them with their english skills. Very sad 😞 Greedy corporations only harm society!!!
