*A great vacuum for the price. The suction is awesome. Excellent for pet hair. The beater attachment works great **MyBest.Tools** on the stairs. Not too heavy and easily maneuvered.*

I am compelled to admit this video only makes me want to buy the vacuum more. The Dyson V6 is delicate and doesn't last long at all. The flexibility of it is not as good as advertised and the seal never keeps the mess inside the cannister, especially with gravity working against you. Not to mention the battery barely lasts over a year. Thank you for making this video, it's a really good demonstration and is far better than going into a store and having a salesperson force you watch -them- vacuum bits of carpet.

I am a bit of a vacuum snob and have bought dozens for my home cleaning business. And the Shark 382 is by far the best of both worlds. It has the suction and powerful motor to contend with most uprights, as well as the versatility and compact size that we love in stick/handheld vacuums. I am so glad they kept this model corded because it's able to handle just about any type of mess on any surface which can't be said for my Dyson V6. Sure it's a bit heavy and it can't stand upright, but I will gladly deal with that if it means I only have to get out one tool to complete an array of jobs. It's incredibly user friendly, there isn't much Shark didn't think of when designing it. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a mode where the brushroll turns off. Other than that, this vacuum is a fantastic piece of machinery.

+Bailey Tenerovich It's nowhere near as good as the Dyson V7 on carpet. There is a comparison video on KZbin that proves this. I wish those who go on about the shark being better than Dyson would prove it by making their own comparison video that backs up their claims, but you never see that from people like you. I will go with the video that shows the Dyson V7 destroying the shark duoclean on carpet.

Nothing beats a Dirt Devil! About 60% of the heaviest material gets sucked up. The rest just gets blown around. About 80% of the lighter material (dust, mold spores, bacteria, the fun stuff) gets blasted all over the place. One minute your fine. The next your sick as a dog. You can't get this covered in crap if you roll around on a dirty floor. I think it works best as a leaf blower. Seriously, you can use it to blow the leaves right off the portch. The brushes spin so fast they literally generate enough air to blow almost everything away from the vacuum. So you see, absolutely nothing beats a Dirt Devil! Nothing doesn't cause the dirt on the floor to cover the furniture.

This is the clearest, most organized, and most helpful review I've ever seen! You have a great non-judgemental manner and explain and show everything I needed to know in a very logical way. I need a vacuum to use now in a large house, and later to clean my motorhome when start traveling with 2 cats full time. This was recommended by other pet-owning RVers, but I can see it won't work for me. I'll check to see what else you have reviewed.

This vacuum works great🌼 A lot of reviews are saying it loses suction after a few times. Clean or change all the filters. I was amazed how much my old vac wasn’t picking up. So you may have to change filters fairly often until this vac can catch up from the years of other vacs missing most.

Regarding weight, I imagine you’d use two hands for the handheld with the wand, and even though the dyson is lighter you have to keep the trigger engaged while I’m assuming the Shark is a click on click off sort of arrangement which makes two hands possible if needed.

Too me these are all MINOR quibbles. And i wouldn't trade my Shark HV322 TruePet for ANYTHING...!!! And this is coming from someone who also currently owns a Dyson DC41 and a few other Dysons over the years. And the Shark is right on par with Dyson no joke folks.

Are you familiar with what attachments will fit what vacuums ? do each of the model series all use proprietary connections that wont interchange ? he under appliance wand for example could be handy..but doesn't show as an option for the 682...Some of this info would be very handy to know !!

How does this compare against the Shark NV352? Which one would you recommend?
@merrymaid18885 жыл бұрын
The rotating floor cleaning brush will wrap with hair so you have to take it off and pull the hair or string frequently otherwise it will suck but not brush and pushing when it's incapacitated takes more push power by the operator. Also HATE the super long cord with no reel, don't try to clean upholstery with the bulky hand held unless you buy a special attachment (which only comes with a super short hose). I bought several extra attachments and none of them work as expected. They are angled improperly and the brushes are limp. All in all I'd say this is not a multi-purpose vac along with what was pointed out above. Back to tank cleaners for me and the Shark will be for bare floors or quick cleanups. Do not like! They just came out with one with a self cleaning roller brush .. still no hepa filter. Annnnd I hate the dirty air blowing in my face from the upper attachment. Good product to sell in a virtual garage sale and replace with something better. I learned a lot.

Right! ..it's a nuisance! The vac won't stand up on its own. I lean it against the wall so I could remove an item in the way and the vac fell and slid down the wall scraping the wall with a pretty good size area! I was so upset . They don't show this downfall on their commercial. Plus they don't show how you have to stick your hand to clean out the dust container . It's gross! I appreciated that my son bought it. So I didn't complain . But Shark needs to go back to the drawing board.

Great videos! Could you maybe check on a more afordable cordless vaccum cleaner? The dyson v8 is way above my limit, but also the v6 is not worth the money for the very little run time it has in my opinion. There are vaccums that claim to have 30-35min run for 200-250£. Thanks!

emma 44 litteraly I have the shark duo clean and it is better than any vacuum I've ever had in my life and I've had plenty of Dysons and hoovers. Such as the Dyson big ball. That shark just dominated my Dyson. Also! Price difference! Dyson is 400-600$ new. Shark is 210$ brand new with pet tool.

Renzile i got a shark similar with the one in the review. I am satisfied with the choice. Only bad part for me is that we have very long hair and it gets tangled in the brush. Every time i vaccum i have to clean it, but i don't really mind. It s a good piece of equipment.
@RenzileMC7 жыл бұрын
emma 44 yes for sure it gets hair. But if your someone like me that doesn't care and gets grossed out then your fine. I litteraly don't care about taking the dust with my hands or removing hair. Honestly for the price that shark is amazing.

How could any company build a vacuum nowadays without a retractable cord? You really seemed to have glossed over how much of a pain it is to have to deal with that cord all the time. First you have unwind the entire cord. Plug it in. Trip over the damn cord. Untangle the cord. Move the cord. Then when you are done the damn cord doesn't wrap around the head. You have to wrap it around the head and the base. Thereby locking them together. Want to use the damn head on it's own? Too bad. I hate this thing. Don't make our mistake. Get any other vacuum as long as it's cord retracts.

well. i have the 300 model and its awful. it sucks the rugs off the floor so you have to tread on them constantly but. but when you come to empty it. OMG all the dust you collected goes everywhere. stupid trapdoor design ,and while the vac does not STAND anywhere. you have to enclose the whole powerhead in a bag to keep the dust down. you cannot clean the multifacetted dust box at all. stupid,idealistic, shortsighted design. give me an upright panasomic anyday. total garbage...

Thanks for the great review regarding the dislikes. How well does it reach under beds and furniture?
@VacuumAdvisor7 жыл бұрын
Hi Debby. The cleaning head on this vacuum has a fairly low profile so it goes under beds and low furniture quite well. There are also several tools that come with the unit and can be attached to the end of the wand. This will allow even greater access under and around furniture.

I liked this vacuum at first, but the more I used it, the sorrier I was that I purchased it, aside from the fact that it is overpriced..I have 3 complaints: it does not stand upright, the dust cup is way too small and does collect hair and debris around that disc requiring the user to dig out whatever is there and, last and, I think, most importantly, the vacuum head falls off at the slightest contact with a chair leg or anything else in the way. I am partially handicapped and bending over to reattach the head is annoying and frustrating to say the least!! Don't buy this vacuum!!
@buckobango6 жыл бұрын
I find the inability to have it not stand up unassisted VERY annoying. When Leaned against a wall it slides and crashes down and you are constantly picking it up off the floor anyway. You get a full workout because you're constantly leaning over and picking it up off the floor. My elderly mother cannot even use it because of this issue.
