Rug Doctor Cord and Plug Replacement for Rug Doctor Mighty Pro, X3, and Wide Track

Here we show how to replace a rug doctor cord and plug. This is applicable for to all Rug doctor might pro, X3, and wide track.
Here we have a Rug doctor Machine which does not turn on. There are two things that commonly cause this, the power cord or the GFI plug. The plug is easy to replace, the cord is more difficult.
This kind of failure is pretty normal in both vacuums and shampooers alike. There's some other electrical issues up in the handle with switches that can cause it to not turn on as well. But that is pretty rare and it is also a royal pain to fix. So we're going to do a cord on this right now because that's the most likely issue if you have no power.

Can you help me I need the wiring diagram for a rugdoctor mighty pro X3 wide track model MP-C3, I can only find rugdoctor wiring diagrams with the 2 rocker switches in the handle, but I need the diagram with the 2 rocker switches in the body of the machine, please help I cannot find diagram anywhere. Coudn't you have just shortened the original cord by a foot and re-used it?

How do you know if it’s the gfi plug itself that needs replaced? Will it just not show any continuity?
