I cannot even imagine the effort that went into this. From having to write a history, to having to innovate a standardized testing method, to actually pulling off the tests, it was all very impressive and helpful! @@VacuumWars 2022 is just crazy for robot vacuums and mops and its great to see mopping really coming into its own. Great, concise video. Buyers should consider that the Samsung Jet Bot will not fit (and therefore never clean) under most furniture . This negates one of the key advantages of robot vacs, especially as this is where the most dust collects.

I have the roborock S7 MaxV with the Ultra Dock. It is an amazing product. I am very very happy with the performance, ease of use, practicality. Yes, it is expensive, but if you are looking for a high-end robot vacuum that is about as close to perfect as can be (in my opinion) this is the one. Oh, and I owned the Ecovacs Omni. It too, is an excellent product, but… one feature the Roborock offered the Omni did not made me swap for the roborock; couldn’t be happier.

One thing I wanted to point out that I wish you'd look at would be availability of replaceable consumable items. I currently have the Samsung AI vac and the biggest disappointment is lack of availability of spare cleaning bags, blame what you want as to why they where not introduced to market, it took months for them to come up on the store following release leading most to not being able to use their auto empty docks. As for other items, getting a brush roller replacement, or various pieces of the vac replaced is currently impossible as I'm experiencing right now trying to replace the rubber gasket around the cleaning head. Makes me wish i'd never bought the damn thing and should have just kept my S9

I used the review from this channel to buy the Dremebot Z10. My eufy bumper one died and I’m looking for a replacement with an auto-empty bin. I didn’t like the single spinning edge brush, I didn’t think the app was easy to use after installing, and edge mode is a must. I just can’t seem to find it in the programming. Sent it back. Back to this channel to find a Shark one probably.

Talk about PTSD inducing, I've never seen so many evil machines in 1 video. These were higher end killing machines too. Durning the Robot Vacuum Wars you would usually only see these units as commanders or squad leads. If any man had to face all of that on the battlefield, heavens save his soul.

Thanks for this review, I got the Z10 based on this review and so far its been good. My S4 used to get stuck on random objects lying around but so far this has not done that once. Awesome idea with the new kind of test and comparison! I was really surprised that Samsung got so much score on the AI systems, I expected the others would be higher up the score. Still, as you said it is only one part of the whole usage, so I still can't wait to get my hands on the Roborock. Side topic, I contacted the EU support from Roborock with a couple of questions regarding the cleaning solution - I heard about Omo but I didn't know it was the official Roborock solution - and it is great to hear that the Robots now have an official solution. With the S7 I saw some concerns in the internet that if you try a custom cleaning solution the bubbles might clog up the little water filter so I never used any but now that Omo appeared, I ordered some and the EU support even confirmed it can be used in earlier models like S7 from last year. Only thing they mentioned is that it is not disinfectant but still - better than pure water, right.

Great video, as I've said in other comments, I absolutely love the Roborock S7 Max V. I just got a new bot yesterday that I would definitely suggest you check out, the Trifo Lucy pet edition. It's a camera based bot that is able to avoid objects and unlike the Roomba, it works in the dark. It has 4000 PA of suction and also includes a separate extractor that you can attach instead of the spinning brush. It's designed for hard floors but it will clean with straight suction and since there is no spinning brush, hair will not get tangled. I think you mentioned this company in one of your videos about CES, even though it's a camera bot, it cleaned my place as fast as the Lidar bots so I would say it's navigation is better than Roomba. I do have the Dreametech L10 which I think is the same as the Z10 but without the auto empty bin. I like the auto empty docks but they definitely take up more space than the standard charging stations. Anyway, the L10 is also excellent. Another object avoidance bot I would suggest you check out is the Neabot Q11. This one is Lidar based but the laser is in the front so it's able to avoid objects better than the bots with the Lidar on top. Another bot that has the laser in the front is the 360 s10, supposedly it has several lasers for its navigation, haven't tried this one though.

Amazing video! This is a phenomenal channel for comparing vacuums. I’d be interested in knowing how loud these various vacuums are. If a robot vacuum is obnoxiously loud, my husband can’t stand listening to it if he is at home.
@jameswilson34112 жыл бұрын
Overall I thought this was a detailed and well executed comparison. However, I would also say some of the objects used wouldn’t need to be avoided and you would get a better clean overall if the item could be gently pushed instead. Giving the robot an arm would be cool to allow the removal of the obstacle but that would be some time away.

My new to me refurbished Deebot 960 doesn't see anything with the camera at night with the lights out so I guess it doesn't have any sort low light capability on its camera. It does map and clean the carpet better than my old 901 that finally had a drive wheel lockup and I didn't bother trying to fix it out of warranty. I'm happy for the price paid and I probably could just have it run early in the morning when it's light out while we're working and it would catch all the obstacles. If there is some low light on it does better and will show you what it found, and what it actually avoided.

I appreciate this. It is hard to know what to get, when you don't understand the technology. I am on my second Roomba now (the S9+) and it is a piece of garbage, just like it's predecessor. I spend more time looking for it due to "navigation problems" than it would take just to vacuum the house myself. I want to buy one more time and get something that will actually do the work, without the headache. Taking you on your word. "Roborock," eh? Works for me. Thanks again.

Don't forget to get replacement upgraded mopping plates for ur X1 before u make it battle the S7 Max :) Tnx for ur work and have a great day!
@elleryfg78532 жыл бұрын
Ok. This goes to anyone interested in the X1 Omni or is having issues with the mopping. The pads that Ecovacs send if you complain about the mopping performance are exactly the same original ones but with an insert of 1 mm thickness inside the hollow shaft on the pads. So if you're having issues or want to improve the performance of your X1 Omni all you need to do is add either a 1 mm thick washer or spacer, metallic preferably so it doesn't fall off if you remove the pads, so the pads get closer to the floor by that distance. That's all it is to it. If that's your only reason for choosing the S7 MaxV, I would suggest trying the X1 Omni. Rotating pads are always going to be better than just a vibrating pad on the S7 MaxV.

You should do a video on the Ryobi PBLSV717 Stick vac when it comes out. Its $250 and it seems like a shark vertex duo clean but a Ryobi version. Has the dual roller bars, some sort of cyclonic filtering. I dont think it has hepa though but I'm really curious. It seems like it would be a great option for people who already have a bunch of Ryobi batteries and its at a reasonable price. I also did a bunch of reasearch and it seems to share some traits like the cyclone with the Hoover onepower blade, they are after all both made by TTI. I honestly don't like the mopping system in the Roborock S7 MaxV. I prefer rotating pads like in the X1 Omni. The system to clean the pads is better on the X1 Omni too. Only moving parts, the pads on the robot and it even keeps them dry to avoid mildew and bad smells. I believe the X1 Omni is Superior to the S7 MaxV
@spidersontheweb2 жыл бұрын
@@elleryfg7853 For exactly these reasons I hesitated for a long time and my preference was also the Omni at first, but many have problems with the pads, they must then be replaced and that takes a long time
@elleryfg78532 жыл бұрын
@@spidersontheweb I have the X1 Omni, just recently got it. The "issue" with the pads is a minor one. It seems they had some production issue and some plates have a small difference in the dept inside shaft that houses the magnet which fixes the plates to the shaft in the robot. That can even be corrected by just adding a small washer inside the hollowed shaft in the plates. Even with that the robot does a good job mopping, it's just a bit inconsistent if you test it rigorously. Of course it's an expensive robot and you should not expect that kind of issue but do you? It a whole new system, it's the first of it's kind, sort of, there's always going to be small details to polish or production QA issues. This one is a minor one and even with that I believe it's a superior system to the one on the S7 MaxV. That's the reason I chose it. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you

They aren't innovating. They haven't released a robot with obstacle avoidance or a self empty base so everyone pretty much ignores them. I can't even figure out what is supposed to be different about their newest lineup, other than the plastic paneling, as they all seem to have the same navigation issues that existed in the previous line.

Just, I discovered that the Z10 does not have a camera. Just Structured Light sensors and LiDAR in the front

Can any of these avoid puddles? Pet vomit/diarrhea/urine My dogs are very well house trained but they do occasionally get sick.

That is a great question. I have a J7 and it performs well overall, but the only issue I encounter is that my one dog leaves the occasional puddle on my tiled floor and the J7 hits it. It really messes up the dirt bin on the robot as all the dust sticks and becomes a sticky mess inside the dirt bin. As I only clean the robot rollers etc once a week, (no hair tangles etc does not require me to do it more as the J7 just always works and never gets stuck) it can be quite a messy afair when I do.

iRobot engineer gave an interview in which he said that since the liquid is not a 3D object it's tough for the camera to detect any liquid substances on the J7. I assume all camera base robots have the same problem.
