I have now had Jet Bot + for over 50 days in use. I would say the quality of the build was instantly impressive the moment I unboxed it. The app took me couple days to learn (I am an android user) all the features. I have 95% hard wood flooring where the cleaning result is unbelievably good. The fact that it even brushes off corner debris & pushes it towards the center of the roller is awesome. I wanted to get the AI version but it was too expensive for me. Fortunately that decision turned out to be a boon, as this Jet Bot + is capable of sneaking under my furniture & cleaning. One of the best feature is where the robot tells u that it is done cleaning & shows u on the map which portions are missed out, so we just have to go move those furniture & let it finish up just those areas with 1 click in second round.

For hair tangles, get sewing thread snips. Roborock S7 is easy to clean, but the side brush requires unscrewing. I can clean the hair well with thread snips without needing to unscrew it, or at least I won't need to unscrew it as often.

I recently picked up the Samsung Jetbot 80, which is basically the same as the Jetbot+ but without the dock. It’s performance on hard floors is impressive, and it manages to pick up household dust and pet hair from our golden Labrador without issue. interesting about the hair tangling - I thought one of the features on the AI was some kind of "blades" internally that cut through the hair to avoid that problem.
@barbaraberwick89932 жыл бұрын
I have the ai+ and it does fantastic at avoiding cords and such, BUT, it cant vacuum under the kitchen cabinets at all. I'm actually trying to decide if I should return it. I love it, but I really shouldn't have to sweep my floors after it sweeps my floors. I think it could get under further if it literally went forward for each little section, but that isn't what it does. I love your tests, but since I'm sure I'm not alone in this problem, it would be nice if you showed it working along standard kitchen cabinets.

Bagless docking stations that are also makeshift handheld vacuums are needed.
@FinesseMuse3 жыл бұрын
The bag filters better than bagless, cuz the bag itself IS the filter. With a bagless vacuum, no your not buying bags, but you're still going through lots of filters. If the filter doesn't get changed or cleaned (depending on the machine) the only thing that's happening is the machine is kicking out more crap, or not picking up well.
@Im_JustKev2 жыл бұрын
Warning: If you want to schedule the robot to vacuum certain rooms on certain days you cannot do it. You can only schedule the robot to clean the entire home at a given time. So if you were to just want to do the living room daily and your whole house weekly you would need to just manually go in the app and do the living room daily and set a schedule for a weekly cleaning which will automatically select all rooms.
@arevee94293 жыл бұрын
Samsung doesn't seem to get it with their robot vacuums. They are so expensive, but they have missed the obvious stuff like that AI model being so tall and the poor deep cleaning score. I'd like the AI, but not the price and the other cons.

How do you like it? Any issues with carpet?
@slavkosster3 жыл бұрын
@@shanew7361 well, we had just one carpet until recently (small area carpet) and the biggest annoyance was that we needed to put something on top of the edges, otherwise the bot would often pick up the edges and roll the carpet on itself. This of course prevented it from cleaning the carpet. We have another, finer, carpet now as well, but only two weeks and I haven't yet noticed how well it cleans it. Anyway, it doesn't clean the carpet perfectly, but it does a good enough job I think. But again, we only have two small area carpets, so it's not such a big issue.

@@slavkosster how has it held up for a year?
@slavkosster Жыл бұрын
@@Mike-gz4xn it's alright. The biggest annoyance for me is with the app. It's very slow to load and doesn't update in the background. That means that not rarely, when I want to start the bot, it has to download an update, and that often doesn't work the first time around and takes a long time. Then there's the thing that we can't split the flat into rooms as we want it. The app does it automatically and you can at most merge rooms. You cannot divide them as you'd like. The bot itself is good. I like it's voice very much :)

I have a Samsung Stick Vac with BOTH ROLLER TYPES; BRUSH and SOFT with silver thread on the soft to (mostly) eliminate static charge. Its a really good vacuum for its type. Super lightweight but durable and smartly designed. They have since replaced it with a new design, but the soft brush, on hard floors is superior in just about every metric. If only Samsung or another brand could manage to provide BOTH types of roller brushed -perhaps one of each in a set? It would rise to the top of the nasty, dirty, filthy hill!

I like the S7 auto empty dock the best, it gets dirt out of the filter (which can be very troublesome as dirt tends to get stuck there). However, the only downside is that it is loud. Almost like, jet engine loud! I wish there will be a firmware update in the future to reduce the suction but increase the time needed. Or at least, have it customizable to do just that. Does this auto empty dock get dirt from the filter too? How loud is it and how long does it run for?

I think you actually misunderstood the whole idea of the brush design. It is actually designed to direct all the hair the the center and sides. If you look at the brush cover you will see a sharp edge towards the center and sides. So when enough hair gets tangled it will be cut up by the blade and it will eventually be sucked up. This is actually the first design that i have ever tested that is almost completely maintenance free.
@joelsimon37323 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, really interested in the Samsung one. A little worried about the hair tangles though. Do you think for a heavy shedding dog with medium hair ( Siberian husky) would get tangled a lot? In your testing what do you think the best vacuum is to resist hair tangles?

I would use the robo vacuums as another layer of cleaning but I still would run my Dyson v10 cyclone absolute vac as needed for spills and also steam my hardwood floors with my Bissell to sanitize once or twice per month for a deeper clean that the robot can just maintain...since I already own those. I only have 4 area rugs and no carpet so the handheld tool from my Dyson and my hoover cleanslate is what I use deep clean on my rugs as anything else would be too much suction for just a rug.

If you want a much deeper clean I would recommend looking around locally for a used Kirby Sentria II, Avalir/Avalir 2. These things are absolute tanks and you'll be impressive with how they revive the pile of your carpet and how much deep down (to the padding) dirt they get. 😊😊

Just picked one up for $300 NIB. After taking all the cellophane off and the stickers it paired to my Motorola edge Plus phone on the first try. However, it would not pair to my wife's Apple 14 after many many many many many tries. Don't know what's up with that. Kept getting an error code. For the 40 minutes it ran it was quiet but then started to develop a squeak in the right wheel as if it had 100,000 miles on it. First 40 minutes. ANNOYING. Otherwise it's pretty quiet vacuum. It did have trouble getting back to the base as I had to pick it up put it back. A confused the base station like going into the bathroom as the base station was on the other side of the wall. Jeeze. Hopefully it does better tomorrow.
