I would bet everything I have that he could easily put up over 400 on just a bench press. Hell look at his forearms in this interview. As big as his head damn near and other than a little loose skin, those are solid. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you don't get in the gym much.

Always loved Vader. A big man with a lot of soul, did great in Japan. There's a line we have to observe, choosing our side when they're in the ring but remembering that they are also real live human beings who take a hell of a lot of punishment for our entertainment and we need to be grateful to them for that always

Vader would literally fucking murder anyone in the UFC if he was allowed to fight at any open weight. In his prime he was literally a fucking walking tank, even from this video at 61 you can see the size of his shoulders and chest. Heh, i dont know what was their dispute about, but Vader probably just got worked. Chael is known for his great promos, he is quite hilarious and a very nice guy actually. Yes, he never was champion, but he had almost 50 fights, some of which were quite tremendous, he beat ex ufc champ Bisping, he won 4 rounds against Spider Silva in one of their two matches, he is a very well respected fighter. He also recently beat Rampage Jackson, who is quite legendary fighter himself. I like Vader, i really do, he was very good pro wrestler, he can hit hard and he is strong, but there is a lot more to fighting than that. Even in his youth, how fast would vader gas out with his 400 fucking pounds and his big gut in the ring? 3-4 minutes, maybe he woud even last till the second round. And then, counple of good, stiff leg kicks, and he will fall on his ass holding on to his broken leg. Thats it. Simple as that.

As much as I love pro wrestlers, especially the legends of the game, I’ve learned to take everything that pro wrestlers say with a grain of salt, they are trained masters at getting themselves over by any means necessary and that means there’s Aton of deception with all their stories, notice how most there stories are something like, “ the dr said most people would’ve died if they came in in that condition but I just got stitches and went back on the road” and I’ve also noticed that they usually have these stories about people largely in the public eye, and nobody else seems to here about these stories until they themselves say it, the tony atlas and cm punk comes to mind, Vader absolutely couldn’t bench 450 in this clip, he looked like he was suffering a large physical ailment, he in no way could beat up Chael Sonnen at his best, it at the end of the day doesn’t matter how giant you are, you gotta have skills

I don't think Vader would be shy about admitting that he just decided not to attend Chael's podcast, I believe him when he says that what likely happened was that he was consulted during moments where he wasn't totally lucid. I realize that there are plenty of reasons to take Vader's excuse -- and my interpretation of it -- with a grain of salt, but that's my take on what happened.
