In Poland do visit Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków (and the Salt Mines in Wieliczka), Gdańsk, the castle in Malbork. For nature, go to Bialowieża National Park, or find a quiet lake at the Mazury Lake District and spend a day just enjoying the sun and water. Do hikes in Góry Stołowe ("Tabletop Mountains") or the more crowded Tatra Mountains (or any other mountains all along the southern border). As to Warsaw itself, here's a list of stuff that doesn't always make it to the guidebooks, and is a must. In summer, don't miss out on the river bank action (cafes and walking during the day, parties by night). For food, try the food markets: Targ Śniadaniowy (by day) and Nocny Market (by night), also Hala Koszyki is great. Try pierogi at a local milk bar. And last but not least, try the numerous veggie places in the city - I can recommend Krowarzywa - place dedicated to vegan burgers. Try vodka tasting in the Vodka Museum. The list goes on...

Alaska, Hawaii, and Cali for "underrated budget" destinations? Three of the most expensive states in an already expensive country and in no way, shape, or form are they underrated/under the radar places.
@lianithomasprewitt24285 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on where in these states you go. For Hawaii, most go to Oahu and flock to Honolulu/Waikiki Beach. Many don't head to one of the many smaller islands like Lanai, Niihau, etc. In Alaska, many head to Anchorage and Juneau, but there is so much nature that people forget to go see like Kenai Fjords National Park. And when going to California, most head south when northern California is amazing, especially the closer you get to Oregon. Depending on how you budget, there is a lot to do for less than you think you'd pay, but it requires one to do some research and work.

Just a little fact correction (I'm from Penang myself): Penang is still known as Penang; Georgetown is sort of the main "town"/ downtown area for Penang! And Panang Curry (sometimes mis-spelt as Penang Curry) are two different things! The Panang Curry that most people are aware of is a Thai curry dish (like the Green curry etc. but made with different spices). Thanks for giving Penang a little highlight, definitely recommend visiting - the food, the history and how the modernization curves and bends and marries itself into the existing traditional culture makes it a real gem!

I know it may deter many people, but I would say Iraq and Afghanistan are underrated. Now, before you laugh at me and point at me like a clown, here me out. Most travelers want to go to places where few tourists are willing to go. Both countries are becoming more stable and safer. It borders with many other Middle Eastern countries, which blends different cultures. I went to both places as a service member in the Marine Corps, but both countries have history and culture from the days of Babylon. Also, I would say my two underrated countries in Europe are Cyprus and Estonia. Cyprus is a small island that has Greece and Turkey surrounding it. The country is like two countries in one (Greece and Turkey almost caused WW3 over the island). The Greeks occupy the eastern side while the Turks controls the western side with the capital being the DMZ. It's a country worth checking out as you can experience both Greek and Turkish cultures in one country, which will save you money and time. I say Estonia because many travelers don't venture out of Tallinn. I went to Saaremaa Island, which is the biggest island in Estonia. It's very popular vacation destination for many Estonians, yet few travelers will go out there. My wife and I went there last year, and we had a blast! We felt we got an awesome opportunity to experience true Estonia culture. Oh by the way, Estonia is one of the most affordable places in Europe!!!

True. Im from denmark and everybody i know has been. Because you can get 5 star hotel and flight for 4 people for less thz 10.000 dkk. 🤣🤣🤣 its hot, it has full service hotels, kid friendly hotels and pools. And its cheap to eat there. 🤦♀️ i havent been because I domt want to support their economy with how horrible they treat their people. But one day when it gets better.

If you're looking for more places within the US, New England is a very great scene. Summer with the smaller islands and all the beaches/seafood restaurants is a beautiful sight and Autumn is also a great time because of all the leaves changing to bright yellows and reds. Definitely a trip worth taking.

Just visited Romania this year - it’s such a great country! We went to Bucharest, Brașov and Cluj-Napoca - all great, all with different highlights. One of the best days was when we visited the Libearty Bear Sanctuary to see brown bears - I would highly recommend that trip. People in Romania are fabulous - really kind and helpful, especially as our grasp of the language was...er...limited. ‘Multumesc’ means ‘thank you’ and will get you a long way! Loved these recommendations - particularly interested in Bolivia and Namibia - honestly have never considered Oman, but that looked lovely! Happy travelling!

Of all the places mentioned, I have to say the one that most jumped out at me was Greenland. Looks really interesting and unique, going to seriously consider going there sometime soon. Romania +1 I had a road trip around the country in June 2018 with my girl (which is Romanian), and we ended up in a cabin way up the Carpathian Mountains. It takes a bit of experience because of the bad roads and crazy drivers, but appart from that : gorgeous country, friendly people, amazing nature, good food, and great history. And cheap, that’s true.

Oooh if you go to Poland, definitely go to Ojcow National Park. There is a tiny bus going from Krakow (less then an hour drive) with great hikes. And Gdansk is really high on my bucketlist so hoping you are going there so I can get a taste.

Aran Islands and Blasket islands off west/south of the Republic of Ireland. They are special places, untouched by the modern world with stunning landscapes, bays, fortresses merging off cliffs and home to interesting wild/sea life and bird colonies. I want to Poland last year and my two favorite things I did was to go to Zamek Ogrodzieniec and Morskie oko. The castle was empty when my family and I got there so we got to explore all by ourselves. And the lake was beautiful! It should be noted that we went on April and at the bottom of the mountain it was around 70 degrees but at the top there was snow, so just making sure to dress correctly.

If you are going to Poland try exploring Mazury Lake District, it is a popular tourist destination for the locals, but hardly known by the foreigners (just some old Germans due to the place's history). Try renting a sail boat and stop not only in the oficial ports, but also in the wild or on the wide horses' island. You can also vist the Białowieża National Park, the only Europe's primaeval forest and one of the few places where you can still find the extand European bison. There are also plenty of medieval castles in the are in towns like Malbork, or the Wolf's Lair where the most famous attempt to murder Hitler took place (shown it the movie Walkiria with Tom Cruise). Poland has plenty of beautiful nature to offer, and I feel like it is very underrated!

My girlfriend and I are active backpackers and we absolutely love yalls videos. We recently went to South America for a few months hitting Colombia , Peru and Bolivia! Definitely go to Bolivia; it is beautiful , rich with culture, cheap to travel and the death road is epic! Could not reccomend it more. Keep it up guys! Side note: it is a time consuming process getting into the country as an American. Be prepared to produce documents such as ; proof of stay, full typed up itinerary, credit card statements, mult. ID's, etc..

By what psychotic scale of economic power is Greenland cheap?
@herodesees37675 жыл бұрын
Yeah the F*** is this? Of course Sweden and Finland are Dirt-cheap. Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Svalbard Denmark and Alaska are also quite cheap. Greenland is literally the most expensive destination on earth except the North pole and Antarctica

@herodesees37675 жыл бұрын
@@friizikys6416 You're right I don't but I have been going to holiday all over Norway every single year since 2010. And I mean everywhere: Oslo, Trondheim, Tromsø, Alta, Norrdkapp, Karasjok, Kirkenes, Svalbard and more. I am using the term cheap kinda loosely, but Norway is not particularly expensive to Norwegians thanks to the wages. For people outside the country it used to be really expensive but the current exchange rate has made Norway much more affordable
@Forlfir5 жыл бұрын
@@herodesees3767 The whole point is tourists visiting the country, not Norwegians lol. Norway and Denmark are so expensive. The prices in Copenhagen are even higher than in Paris
@herodesees37675 жыл бұрын
@@ForlfirAnd my point is that Norway is not cheap but still quite affordable for me as a tourist, while it is normal pricing for Norwegians. FLights to greenland from copenhagen cost at least 650 euros roundtrip, a cost not incurred when flying to places like Denmark or Norway. The simple fact is that while these places may seem expensive, they're actually fine and soooo much cheaper than Greenland.
