Hey guys, I'm from Cape Town and highly suggest paying a visit to Kalk Bay. It's a small harbour town with a vibrant market atmosphere. Also, the summer concerts at Kirstenbosch are a must do. Passenger, Bastille and The Lumineers are among many international bands to have played here, as well as Jeremy Loops, a local singer from Cape Town.

A trip to Cape Point lighthouse at the tip of the Cape of Good Hope, a short drive away, through the Cape Point Nature Reserve is another must. You left off a lunch at the Brass bell in Kalk Bay, and a stop in Simonstown to see Just Nuisance' statue. These can all be done in a day. If you're older, do this instead of Lions Head.

You could easily stay there 2 weeks and still have a lot to do. Depending what you want to do I would spend at least 50% of your time in Cape Town. Cape Town does has awesome fauna and flora but it does not have the best Safari type experiences ie if you want to see the 'big five'. My dream SA holiday road trip would be to take in the garden route to Cape Town and drive up to Namibia...
