Don't know anything about ballet apart from the fact that this girls/guys are superhumans. On lockdown I decided to get myself out of ignorance about the subject and discovered it's kind of mesmerizing, specially with gifted people like Osipova, Zakharova(such a beautiful human), Polunin, Baryshnikov. On this video my ignorant eyes spotted something special in these 2 girls: 8:45 to 9:35. All of the girls are amazing,(I understand now that Vaganova is one of the best schools in the world) but this 2 just catch my eyes somehow.

That’s unstable technique, should be able to do double pirouette even on days you don’t feel well, especially if you are at their level of seriousness about ballet training

At such a high level, there is no "bad day" where you cannot turn or you turn badly. If you have "bad days" on a regular basis, it means you're not really stable and strong in your technique.

She’s Maria petukhova, surprisingly she’s not in mariinsky or bolshoi, no one really knows where she’s going. But according to her Instagram profile, she is in Estonian National ballet; however I couldn’t find her on their website Hope that helped!

Edited because I found the actual list of 2018 graduates on a Russian website. The video is from 2017, a year earlier, so there could've been changes. There are three Japanese students listed in this class - Arisu Otsuka (www.staatliches-russisches-ballett-moskau.com/team/arisu-otsuka/) , Kanon Suzuki(kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKXdYpSLqtuNack), and Noriko Nakabaiashi(?). So it could've been one of them, but I am not sure which one based on this video and pictures.

More talent in this 7th grade than in our collage graduates here in the U.S. Full of grace and beauty.

Ballet dancers don't normally go to college, so I am not sure it's a right comparison. This is 7th ballet grade, not 7th school grade. 1st ballet year here is the same as the 5th year of general school. 6th-8th years of ballet are considered post secondary education. These girls is a year away from graduation. The video is from 2017, many of them are working in theaters now. Now, I'd imagine Russian ballet academy graduates are way ahead of American ballet academies overall, but it could also have to do with ballet education in Russia. You can watch "Dance of the Little Swans" documentary about how they pick 10-11 year olds, also "Ballet: Sweat and Tears" to get an idea.

She might've had an injury. Also, maybe she was in the corner and hidden from us. The camera doesn't show the whole room. They rarely fail after the 7th grade.

I don't know why she walked out and then walked in, but maybe she needed to go to the bathroom or had some emergency. No, she didn't fail, I believe both Japanese girls graduated. At any rate, I guess - just a guess - they might overlook things like this from foreign trainees.
