I went out topping a showground with an old McConnell Rhino SE6 on the back of a MF165, and I encountered a fence post in the long grass I didn't see, and I'm lucky I was using the old rhino topper cos that went straight through that fence post and there was almost no bogging from that tractor, just a massive bang, the topper jumping slightly, and the post being chucked 3 feet out the side in 4 pieces

I have a "Servis S-5" Rotary Cutter which I understand "Servis" was purchased by Rhino and improved. How can I get parts for my Rotary Cutter? Can I purchase a Service and or Parts manual from Rhino that has similar or the same parts? Like, new blades? Thank you!

I would recommend contacting RhinoAG direct or your local RhinoAG dealer may be able to get parts for the old Servis Brand Products. Here is Contact Information for RhinoAG: www.rhinoag.com/contact-us/

Great video what a 24.8 PTO what size do I need?
@VahrenbergImplement3 жыл бұрын
24.8 HP is dang close to 25 HP unless you are dealing in High Material Volumes you could probably run a 25 PTO HP minimum Machine. In RhinoAG the TW14 and TW15 is 20 PTO HP Min, TW25 is 25 PTO HP Min or the TW16 is 25 PTO HP Min. depends on material cut capacity the TW10 Series can cut up to 1" Diameter Trees , The TW20 Series can handle up to 2" Diameter Trees. Then if you want 4', 5' or 6' cutter.

Why are there so few hitch-type rotary mowers vs. 3-point hitch style? I’m referring to smaller mowers, e.g. 6’ to 8’ wide mowers. (I grew up with a 6’ wide rotary mower and really like the drawbar hitch style more than 3-point hitch ones.) Thank you.
@VahrenbergImplement Жыл бұрын
Biggest Reason is most Compacts and Smaller Tractors, rear remotes are optional purchase or added cost. Pull Type Mowers are more expensive with added hydraulics and cost for tongue. So demand is lower due to higher costs. RhinoAG does offer 8' Cutters in Pull Type Configuration and larger.

I had one of those cheap off brand rotary cutters behind a 35hp tractor a few years ago. It lasted about 3 years and yes the gear box blew up, and no, there were no parts available. I sold it for a scrap metal price. Lesson learned.

Can I get one in a 84 inch? Will my 2706 handle it? I also have a CAT 1 quick Hitch, do I need to change it if I move to a 7 foot cutter?
@VahrenbergImplement2 жыл бұрын
RhinoAG TW27 is Cat 2/Cat 3 Hitch Mowers. Need Wider Hitch and Cat 2 Balls to use a 7' Mower. We have had some take the pins and get a machine shop customize them by using lather to cut down to Cat 1 Pin Size. Cat 1 Quick Hitch won't work as it too narrow.

Did I miss the slip clutch vs shear pin discussion?
@VahrenbergImplement4 жыл бұрын
We don't sell Shear Bolt Protection Mowers. Too much pain to replace and the cost difference is very little between Shear Bolt & Slip Clutch. Only mower RhinoAG even offers it on is TW10 Series Mowers. I'd rather keep happy customers and they appreciate the Slip Clutch. I might miss a sell or two because we are higher but I'd rather keep my customers happy.

@@VahrenbergImplement I agree IF the slip clutch assembly is maintained properly.
@VahrenbergImplement4 жыл бұрын
Same thing with Shear Bolt most are Grade 2 and they replace with heavier grade (I've seen Grade 8 used) and things don't shear where they need too. All equipment needs to be maintained properly per operators manual. If you don't follow the directions...well you often have to pay for it.

Cost. The 1" Cutter Market is extremely competitive and price is the biggest factor most are judging purchasing decision. I'll have to pass that idea on to RhinoAG. That would be a nice option to sell.

No stump jumpers?
@VahrenbergImplement4 жыл бұрын
Stump Jumper YES we have then Dogbone Stump Jumper or Round Pan? No Round pan and thank goodness because those have to be balanced just like a car tire and if you hit something and ding it and throw it out of balance it will cause vibrations and there is the death of a gearbox. Dogbone style carriers provide stump jumping and are easier to keep balanced .

Compared to other brands in this Capacity Class RhinoAG provides heavier structural support, heavy hitch, heavier blades and just built stronger. All depends on the Cutting Capacity you are looking for the bigger diameter material the stronger the machines are built. We have very few issues with strength and I have some pretty dang rough customers that mow some onry places and the RhinoAG Mowers keep on cutting.

@@VahrenbergImplement I have a Woods BB720 , and it's a lot heavier built than a tw26.
@VahrenbergImplement4 жыл бұрын
As a Massey Ferguson dealer we can sell Woods Product through their partnership but we surveyed our customers and by huge margin they told us not to get rid of RhinoAG. BB720X is a 3" Cut Machine you need to compare to the TW30 Series not the 2" Cut Capacity Cutters. The BB72X is the 2" Cut machine. Weighs less than RhinoAG TW26 by 57#, BB72X is 828# and the RhinoAG TW26 is 865# both with single tailwheel and chainguard. Weight = How Much Metal in the Machine = Structual Strength. Look at Tailwheel Carrier is much lighter as is the hitch design too. I listen to my customers they demand RhinoAG Products. I have a Choice and can sell both...never sold a Woods. They don't have a good reputation in West Central Missouri.
