Hello new builders! I just wanted to give some tips when building your pc's. Try to avoid building around carpet if you can, if not that is fine but build on a table no matter what. Second avoid wearing socks when building or touching components. Socks help with building static electricity as you know. When touching the motherboard or any part ground yourself before doing so by touching metal. You can do so, for example, if you look at the hex grating, where Vainsz put his exhaust fan, you can touch that. This might seem like common sense to most people, but better to learn this way than rather the hard way.

couple things to note that were slightly incorrect while watching this video: 1. When installing the cpu make sure to find the little triangle in the corner of the cpu and then line it up with the same one on the motherboard. Also you don't need to manually remove the black cpu socket cover that's on the motherboard it will pop off as you push the handle back down (note you will feel a bit of resistance as you push the handle down dw that's perfectly normal but make sure when that black cover pops off you don't lose it as if you need to warranty your motherboard ever the manufacturer requires you to have that) 2. when install your motherboard if you're new to pc building do this with the case laying down on its back to make it easier, also you can place the motherboard in the case then count how many screws you need. now not all motherboards are the same size the most common sizes are atx or m-atx but maybe you bought a itx or e-atx in which case you should confer your user manual as you may need to move standoff screws within the case for the slots to line up. His motherboard also came with a pre-installed IO shield but thats not necessarily the case with all motherboards so make sure you apply that first if its not already on your MOBO, to do this you line it up with the ports on the back of your motherboard and push into the case from all sides of it, you will need to use a bit of force but just dont over do it. 3. 1000w for a 4090 and 13th gen is basically the minimum NOT "more than enough", it will definitely work but if you plan overclocking any component you might want to consider a 1200w just to be safe otherwise you will run into power draw issues, however the average person isnt building with these high-end parts so just check the specifications per your parts and adjust accordingly, the average build of 2023 will need 800 - 1000w. (also he uses a fully modular power supply but not all power supplies are like that as some are semi-modular or not modular at all meaning you might have no cables to plug in as they will come pre-installed or you will have some cables you need to plug in) 4. Hooking up PSU cables to the motherboard before installing your GPU is definitely right but installing the aio first would probably be better as most aios will have cables that need to go into the psu and the motherboard plus fan cables that will need to go into a fan controller or into the motherboard, if you have a fan cooler not an AIO then obviously this isnt an issue but in this case the AIO is also argb meaning he has 2 cables per fan (3 for his but they vary) and it might be better for cable management purposes to do those NOW rather than later but its not required. Also note that the AIO fan cables have to individually plugged into a fan header but most modern rgb cables for fans can be linked together in a daisy-chain sequence so you only need to plug 1 rgb header into either a controller or the motherboard. 5. Last thing is more of a tip than a correction make sure to check ALL measurements that your case supports before building, you will not fit a 4090 or basically any of the 40 series from the 4070 and up into a small case, all cases have measurements in the specifications that tell you what dimensions of each component you have clearance for. Overall though this build is sick and you didnt do anything wrong at all this is just making sure that any new builders that use this as a guide or want to do so are aware of some issues they could come across.

a little advice maybe turn on the multithreaded rendering ( 15:22 )that means all of your cpu cores will work together this can increase your fps a bit more but not much for you because for a high end system like that it will not change so much (but its a important setting for budget pc gamer)
@paxbizzle Жыл бұрын
its actually the opposite, this helps more for high end as it enables every core which more high end builds have, budget builds will have a lower amount of cores on their cpus.
