I like the U joint in the driver compartment idea. Definitely a good option for steering column adjustment later! Still gaming out my chute/hitch mount but this REALLY helped me visualise it. Thanks Kev! Get To Work Eddie!

Thank you for your videos, every video you make there is a nugget of wisdom in there somewhere, the metal moving when welding the gussets is a good one. I am sure that little bit of knowledge is going to save me a lot of frustration in the future.

I was going to ask why he only welded small parts of each tube, but your explanation of the crooked exit pipe explained why he wasn't just welding one pipe completely around!! It's done to keep the pipes from over heating and pulling them out of alignment. I would have never thought of that......

As you travel along a road you will have up and down motion applied to the hitch, so it seems to me that for a small amount of additional weight it would make sense to add the lower gussets

Chassis mounted wing would be better but getting to the trunk will be complicated. Mounting it on the trunk needs the trunk to be reinforced. Or have a way to put some chassis support structure that sandwich the trunk between the wing and some hand tightening handles/levers like bicycles have for quick access. Or go no wing and make the car as slippery as possible, get the MPH up!

The shio building his Camaro looks like a well oiled machine when it comes to work flow. Multiple frame tables, which is exactly what you need right now

Could always heat up the joint prior to welding to prevent the majority of the pulling when cooling. Only worth doing this when you need something to be dead straight
