Monopoly was designed as Capitalism: The Game. Extreme Monopoly drags this out to its full potential-or as close as you can get without the risk of real-world debt bondage or something.
@TlalocTemporal2 жыл бұрын
@@timothymclean -- Nah, there's some more things that could be added to increase realism. Namely, Politics and Crime! Each round or 2, everyone votes on a random game rule from a determined set, like [Double/halve all fees], [Double/halve income], [Change votes needed to pass a law from 75% to half+1], [Cap utility costs to $200], or [Reduce minimum wage (makes houses 50% cheaper)], [Subsidise costs (up to $200 of rent charges are paid by the bank)]. One die is rolled for each side, and the players each get a vote. Bargaining for other players votes should be encouraged. Senators (extra votes) can be bought for an increasing price each. Similar rules for lawyers: each reducing fees and taxes by up to $50. Ditto political favors, which can be used to halve any cost, are worth two votes, and can be found in the chance deck. Also have a crime deck, which players can choose to draw from once per turn. Each card has shady acts on it, like [Force a property up for auction or destroy two houses], [Force another player to pay rent on the closest property you own], [Steal $200 from another player], [Throw another player in jail], [Skip your next tax or fee], or [Overcharge 50% on any rent (keep this card)]. Each card must be played immediately, and when played two dice are rolled. If the total *+ the number of lawyers and senators you have* is above 9, you successfully commit the crime, otherwise go to Jail. Other players can add their lawyers and senators to the fight for a $200 fee. The fee and the number needed for success are laws of course, and can be changed.
@PineappleLiar2 жыл бұрын
