Madonna was 56 when this was released. It is a brilliant song and top 10 material if not no 1. But radio ignored it because she was too old. If it would've been Taylor releasing this. It would've went straight to the top. And the video is absolutely beautiful. The dance sequence between them is sublime!

Yes, Madonna has been in many movies. However, most of her roles have been heavily criticized by critics and the public. She was fantastic in Evita and A League Of Their Own. I really wish my favorite artists would focus on music and not acting. The reason her voice sounds so good is that she took vocal lessons for her role in Evita. Her Ray Of Light album features some of the best vocals of her career in my opinion.

I literally spit water I was sipping when you asked if she’s been in any movies. 😅 She’s been rightfully panned for many of her acting roles. But there are several movies where she was fantastic. Dick Tracy A league of our own Desperately seeking Susan Evita Personally, I think everything that artist makes her such an iconic visial and photographic model is why she isn’t a better actress. She is innately aware of lighting and angles and has an acute sense of how things should look in a photo or videos . The roles where’s she’s been best in are ones where she played a larger than life character. She learned acting from watching all the old Hollywood film stars like those she names in ‘Vogue’. But even some of her bad roles are iconic. I’m sorry but I LOVE ‘‘Who’s that girl?’.

@ValenciaGamble a little back story on why people think she can’t sing. Whitney Houston was big around the time Madonna was huge and people always compared her voice to Whitney’s. Whitney had “The voice” and no current singer will ever match her. Madonna has a different tone and register which isn’t a bad thing and yes she can sing. Her voice is very likable and that’s why she is the biggest selling female recording artist of all time…not unless Taylor Swift has beat that record after constantly putting out the same album with 5 different versions, which in my opinion shouldn’t count 😂
