When a liquid evaporates, it absorbs heat. Then, it turns into gas. For example, we pour a bucket of water on a hot stove. The stove gets colder and the water evaporates, turns into steam. The same applies to the freon. When it evaporates inside the evaporator, the evaporator gets cold. If we use a fan to force air around the evaporator, it will become cold.

Gaseous refrigerant is pulled inside the cylinder whenever its piston goes backwards since the depression forces the reed valve to open its suction hole and draw gaseous refrigerant from the suction line. Whenever the piston goes forwards, since the reed valve is staying closed due to zero or increasing pressure inside the cylinder, the same gaseous refrigerant pulled inside during the "aspiration" phase gets pushed through the discharge hole and goes in the discharge line (there's probably a check valve somewhere that prevents refrigerant from being drawn from the discharge line). The higher is the suction pressure (higher suction pressure is determined by higher evaporator's load), the more is the resistance that the piston encounters (=the harder the compressor's shaft becomes to turn) to push the gas through the discharge path. Unlike fixed displacement compressors, variable ones can in any moment vary the swash plate's angle and therefore vary the piston stroke. The swash plate angle, in the video's compressor, is controlled by a computer.

@@abhishekkumarjaiswal7397 The only instances in which compressor control valves have specifications are mechanical control valves. Suction pressure loss at high flow rate is proportional to suction line lenght so a car with a small engine bay will have a relatively high control valve pressure rating compared to one with a large engine bay, all of this to keep the evaporator from freezing up.

+Liangshi Xu The best cooling is You turn on for Re-Cirkultation. You also need when you go to fast remove "dew" on your Windows and after turn on to normal cirkulation :-) remeber turn on the AC if not it will not Work,.

If i understand your question correctly, these compressors are designed to pump gases, not liquids. A sure way of killing a car's air con compressor is pumping liquid refrigerant through the charging port located on the suction piping with the compressor engaged.
