Valerie Loves Me (acoustic) - Material Issue

I recorded this myself and interviewed the band...it was recorded on magnetic tape and before CD burners were commonly available...we had a Digital Audio Tape (DAT) deck in the studio but I did not think to use it. We had 3 broadcast studio-quality Shure microphones and I used a little electronic reverb on Jim's mic which picked up his voice and quitar...the other mic was near the drums and picked up the electric bass and I interviewed them on the third mic. The room this was recorded in was a radio recording studio, but remember this was more than 20 years ago. The guys were very friendly and chatty, and they were awesome in concert that night. One of the best bands I ever met and recorded live/interviewed.

NO! This IS Jim Ellison doing a live acoustic demo on live radio. This is awesome. Jim has left us. Don't diss him, he is one of the greatest of the 1990's. We can never get that time back. We can't have him back, but we can remember and listen to his loving songs. Miss you Jim!

KFMG 2.0 was brilliant with no corporate parent calling the shots and it was so sad that we lost it. KFMG 1.0 was also a hoot as well!

interesting version. Not that great, but interesting. Has a very different feel to it, yet it still works. It still maintains that special atmosphere. The screams in the chorus don't work this way, though. Anyway a nice memorial. That poor guy is dead now, I hope Valerie is in tears.
