If Valhalla is viewing the comments. Please team up with 1010 Music to bring us the Oden FX Eurorack module. It should run a firmware and a processor capable of multiple instances of your effects with routing for CV on the 1010 architecture. Make it a beast with four audio inputs and four audio outputs and the other available jacks for a couple of CV outs plus one MIDI IN and one MIDI OUT. The 1010 interface is pretty fast to navigate. It would be an excellent box to have with all of the same available parameter count as a VST and the ability to assign modulation to it. A boy can dream.

Really appreciate these demos. You've influenced me to expand my sonic palette. Would it be possible to use something like the Strymon Big Sky and/or Timeline (instead of the Valhalla DSP) with this Novation LaunchPad in a similar way? I'm trying to focus on the tangible equipment I have instead of plugins for now.

Dear Once Upon a Synth, I am enjoying your very nice video and your music. Talking about Valhalla's plugins and controllers, do you think is it possible to control one of these plugins into Cubase (I have Element version) using the Novation Launch Control XL? I can't find the slim LaunchControl alone and I don't need the Launchpad, so I am wondering why not to go on something more useful both in live and studio situations. Thanks in advice! Cheers from Italy

@RobbekenSynthMusic5 жыл бұрын
I’d like to know as well. Amazing sounding effects, but I prefer hardware to bring around.
@fattyboombatty77364 жыл бұрын
I have the Polymoon and the the Valhalla on a Tiptop DSP eurorack. I would say you'd be happy with either as they are both fantastic, yet different - the Valhalla is a very lush huge verb, while the Polymoon brings something different yet is still very usable. Sorry my reply is so short, but I'd just be repeating other reviews which are better than anything I could do. I do use mine with synths and once you have turned them on, it's difficult to turn them back off again :) As an alternative to the Valhalla if you want a dedicated box, I can also recommend the Mercury 7 and Neunaber Immerse as well as the Eventide H9 (which again is very, very good though it's lack of knobs don't encourage playing about like the others, but conversely you get a lot more presets.)

stupid question... how to connect midi controller to valhalla plugins params?
@thirfytash72865 жыл бұрын
Depends on your host daw, the easiest is to click midi map on your daw and then assign knobs one by one by turning a knob on the Valhalla delay then a knob on your hardware controller, that will automatically assign that hardware knob to that Valhalla knob, at least in ableton its like that.

@grain_death5 жыл бұрын
so there's two things in this video: the Grandmother which isn't a MIDI controller - it's an analog synthesizer. almost all the sounds are coming from that. the novation (with a V) thing you see beneath it is a launchcontrol, which he's using to control the controls of the delay effect that the grandmother is playing through.

Stan Wray Yes to your first question, it’s a VST plugin that you run in your DAW. (Ableton Live etc) The controller is a Novation Launch Control, there is also a Launch Control XL that adds eight faders. Hope that helps!
